It's a mixed bag, but might be worth the price for some
Let me start with the two reasons why I don't give 5 stars and may even return this product:(1) No matter what the product description says, it is NOT DisplayPort 1.2 compatible. DP1.2 supports 3840*2160@60Hz, this product does not. The maximum supported resolution is apparently 3840*2160@30Hz but that can be done with older DP specs as well. When connected to my 4K@60Hz display there is a brief moment where the picture shows up correctly, but then starts flickering and goes blank. Do not get this if you are looking for DP1.2 compatibility.(2) The annoying beeping sound when the connected computer is turned off but you move the mouse ever so slightly. I suppose it's smart to warn people about a potentially wrong output selection, but there should be an option to turn this off.There are some serious benefits thought that are unique to this switch:- I absolutely love the KVM selection hotkeys. Basically you hit a key sequence on the keyboard connected to switch between different computers. There is also a button on the switch itself, but that has terrible usability and usually the switch itself is not easily accessible in a tidy desktop environment.- It doesn't get warm or generate any audible noise at all. Pretty high build quality with elegant metal casing, looks great.- There is no other 4x1 DP switch under $100. Period. This is proper KVM switch that adds USB input and analog audio to the mix which is awesome.

Looks nice but doesn't work!
Despite the negative reviews, I decided to give this a try anyways... I should have trusted the negative reviews. This item SUCKS! It feels quality ie nice metal case, but it just doesn't work. I had multiple problems with it. At first the USB selection did seem to work. The video almost never worked. I got a screen to display once or twice, but not consistently. I could never get laptop to come up. Sometimes video would work other times it would never work. Over all, the video only ever worked 5% of the time. Also I wasn't doing anything crazy. Just a single new 27" 1920x1080 monitor via displayport. Also, eventually it go to the point where when you try to change computers the KVM would freeze on a certain selection and no matter how many times you tried to push the button, it would not switch computers. Bottom line, I could not a consistent behavior out of this device. DO NOT BUY!

4K 30Hz and button releasing problem
1. 4K 30Hz may anoying you because you will see unnarutal screen. over 60Hz has small gap between the Hz but nowdays most of the devices support 4k 60Hz. You do not have any reason to have 30Hz.2. The swithcing button has problem. It does not work sometimes and it stuck in the box and the box does not release the button back. of course you can not use the product for a moment until the button is released.I returned it because of the button problem. And i do not belive the quality of this brand. It might be occasional problem but very hard to find this problem in KVM market. because you will keep pushing the button for years. Duralbility is quite important.I've returned the product an year ago but i did not recive any refund even the return center got this product. be care of the seller.

Glitchy
The power LED, source #2 LED, and Select button did not work on my unit. Keyboard commands worked to switch sources. When switching to my Windows 7 PC, it always took about 30 seconds for the mouse and keyboard to reconnect. Switching to my Mac was faster but I usually had to switch to a unconnected source for a few seconds and then to the Mac for USB devices to reconnect successfully. It also frequently stopped responding to the keyboard commands and I had to power cycle it, similar to what others have reported. I replaced this KVM switch with a Tripp-Lite B004-DPUA4-K with similar features and all of these problems went away.

Price too good to be true? Yes
Right off the bat, blue input selection LEDs don't even work. Only one of the two inputs was selected and would not change the selection. The selected input flickered both my monitors. I have two Dell U2417H InfinityEdge monitors - there should be no issue. Returning to get something that actually works.

Great size
Not very good. When using, sometimes you will see lines very loud and sometimes don’t work. Have to repowered all the time. Will just see black screen.

Do not buy this item
Doesn't work right. I would not purchase this item again, nor can I recommend this product to anyone else

Linux worked out great no issues
A real problem with servers had to shut everything down to get the server to recognize the unit. Caused my windows desktop to crash when coming out of sleep mode. Linux worked out great no issues.
