It produces a perfectly even roast every time, something my other roasters struggled with. I love the control you have with this, being able to adjust the flame and rotation speed. Yes, the manual hand crank can be a little tedious, but I only roast a couple times a week, so no big deal, and worth the trade off knowing I won’t have to ever replace it. With some practice I was able to get the consistent roast level I wanted. I use it about once a week. There is considerable chaff that falls on the stovetop. I think that's normal & I just clean it up with a hand held vacuum after it has cooled.
