LastoliteLL LR2933SWL TriLite Reflector Kit with Reflector Panels -Silver/White

I bought this after a few videos of its use but none by actual users or professionals not endorsing the product. I have a cheap setup I made that does the same thing and wanted something more professional to take on shoots. When it arrived I was happy until I opened it up and saw three collapseable reflectors and and some skinny bars with rubber on them. For the money spent I was for sure it would come with heavy duty metal with huge reflectors. Not the case.Putting it together was easy enough with your own stand. ( should have come with one ). But all in all its okay. I own a lot of gear and as far as beauty lighting there are a ton of options much cheaper-than this yielding the same if not better results. Its obvious you are paying for the metal that holds the reflectors in place. I rarely leave bad reviews but I honestly was not impressed with this flimsy piece of equipment.I have had this over a year and I still use just a 36 dollar large reflector and one overhead light. It fills more of the subject with no gaps. The trilite is not bad in a studio but still can be replaced with just a stand , standard reflector and holder.

I am a studio Portrait photographer. I was very interested in buying a reflector unit that was collapsable and very transportable. For the money this is a good portable unit. This unit does a fair job reflecting light for portrait work. I use this unit for a clam shell lighting unit. A plus for this unit is that the panels can twist and turn to help direct light where you want it. You can also detach some of the panels to give a more creative look with shadows or light.

I do a lot of portraits and headshots. Actually, I do a lot of photography as a whole. The last three years, our photography team has been taking pictures of all the contestants for our local pageants: Headshots, full body shots, and creative high fashion. The last two years, we've been using our trusty lastolite that we've won from The Strobist Guy and Joe McNally on the Flash Bus Tour (which is freaking awesome btw). However, and I'm sure my partner can confirm this, I am a very bad mobile light reflector stand. Give me a camera and I am perfectly at home and am a wizard with (since I can create magic with it [sic]) but when I am assisting and holding one of those reflectors, I turn into a dumdum.Anyway, we've used the flat reflector the last two years and it was fine, but we were looking for something a lot more efficient. Lo and behold, we saw the TriLite Reflector Kit. We ordered it. IT IS AWESOME! Omg. The headshots came out beautiful and well lit. Everything was consistent and I couldn't get over how fast and easy the shoot was! On a two light set up with a beauty dish on top and a flash behind for the background (the contestants were wearing white satin tops and the background was white), the TriLite Reflector did a fantastic job. all the sides were lite, no ugly triangle under the nose, and the bottom of the chin and cheeks has a nice light sheen to it.Great product. We've also lent this out to our photographer friends and they loved it! It also comes with a carrying case, which is super convenient when traveling and bringing a whole set to location. Overall, a must have to any photographers who are specializing in portraits and headshots. I just wish we had this a long time ago so I don't have to find out what a bad reflector stand I am.

First of all I love the way it reflects the light. Does a great job of that. The first 2 months were great and then the metal inside one of the reflectors came apart. I contacted the manufacture and the told me to contact the seller. I contacted the Amazon seller and was told to contact the manufacture, so now I deal with a product that works but for the money should have lasted longer and had better customer service.

What else can you say...yes, they are more expensive, but, you get what you pay for IMHO...easy set up, well made...up and ready in less than 5 min..Took a little while the first time to adjust the poles..but, once you get it set...easy peasy.DC

The Trilite reflector kit works wonders with group portraits, kicking light up into faces. Particulalry useful when your subject is wearing a hat. Gets light deep in the eyes.

works just right for what I need it for - Beauty and make-up photography! I just couldn't ask for more now, and it's so light weight.

The TriLite offers fantastic overall facial lighting. I was able to achieve almost shadowless images as requested by my models. I also experimented with the gold reflectors to add a little touch of warmth. All in all a great product.
