This has done the job nicely. The degus like sitting on it and chewing the bark off.

While it seems like a great bit of kit, I found it curious that rats were left off the list of rodents on the labelling. I had to do a bit of research and as it turns out, this perch is made of pine wood, which rats can have an adverse reaction to!It's a real shame because it smells lovely and is a good size. Giving this to a friend instead.

Good quality item, hamsters enjoy climbing on it and chewing

My hamster loved chewing on it, but within a few days it fell off the nail which was very sharp and sticking out. Hamster enjoys but could be dangerous.

My Degus really enjoy playing on this and gnawing on it
