HUMMINGBIRD BAKERY CUPCKES AND MUFFINS Hardcover – March 1, 2012

I love itI love itI love itit is one of those books that i cant put down and always come bake to.I tried several recipes and they turned out great. the lavender cup cake was amazing, the chocolatechips cookies were to die for...and the best thing is that most of the recipes make about a dozen of cupckaes / muffins / or like 24 cookies.. which i love because i bake almost every day and hate it when i have left overs :))

I had this recipe book for about two years before actually trying a recipe. The pictures are so pretty that it was fun to just flip through. I've tried almost every recipe now and not once have the cupcakes or muffins turned out to be dry, flat, flavorless or dense. Each recipe is completely different from others and Malouf has included both classic cupcakes (vanilla, chocolate, red velvet) as well as more original recipes (like a cake that has ginger added in three different ways). The Ginger Cupcake is my favorite, although certainly one of the most complex recipes. I love making the simpler recipes with younger children and more complex recipes with a good friend as we get through a pot of tea.As some other reviews mentioned, the book dimensions are on the small size as is the text. However, I prefer this as it is easy to tuck away and the text is simply small enough to make the recipes compact. I would definitely recommend The Hummingbird Bakery and Cupcakes and Muffins recipe book to a friend!

it's the cutest book, recipes are good

I heard great things about the hummingbird bakery, however, but when I tested out the recipes I though either I was doing something wrong or the UK has a much different take on what cupcakes and muffins should taste like. If you like dense cupcakes this is your book.

So I was excited to get this cookbook but when I got it, found it to be a 'mini' book meaning that book is the size of a postcard - with print so small it makes your eyes hurt looking at it (they have a whole recipe again in small print on a page that is the size of a post card). . . .and I have 20/20 eyesight. Guess I probably should have looked harder at what I was buying. . . .but I would not recommend this book even though I havne't not even tried one recipe!

Well thought out recipes

The photos are pretty but the frostings are too sweet. It was okay, but not fabulous like I expected. Do not buy.

all most the same but different colour finish.Idont wish to continue with review ive wasted enough time on this book already!!!!!!!!!!!!
