Working perfectly
Finally after months of having issues with starting the laptop, apps and even opening a picture that used to take 2-5 minute sometimes because of HDD, now once i click on it it pops up and ready The best thing i did this year is to buy an SSD

Superfast at a good price
I upgraded from Samsung 500 GB 970 EVO Plus to the 1 TB 990 EVO Plus on my older motherboard with PCI Gen 3 NVME slot so I am not getting full speed from the 990 but I am very happy with the performance. The 990 EVO Plus on PCI gen 3 slot Sequential read speed - same as 970 Sequential write speed - 2910 MB/s vs 1973 MB/s on 970 Random read speed - 467041 IOPS vs 171142 IOPS on 970 Random write speed - 175081 IOPS vs 120117 IOPS on 970 I bought the 990 as I wanted to do a fresh Win 11 install to get rid of old garbage from multiple OS upgrades. As a bonus, I have increased throughput as well as clean OS installation. The 990 EVO Plus has maintained a consistent 36-37 degree Celsius regardless of load, no heat sink. I was going to buy an add on heat sink but decided not to as the Gen3 will not drive it at full speed. Recommended!
