Wildly inaccurate monitor
I am an RN who cares for patients on hospice. I have a manual cuff and know that those are more accurate, but often my patients are wearing several layers of clothing, so a wrist cuff makes more sense. My previous wrist cuff, when tested against a manual pressure, was only off by a point or two. It's getting old, so went to reorder and it is no longer manufactured. I chose this one due to good reviews. Used it on my first patient and got a reading of 195/101. My old wrist cuff read 133/82 on the same patient. Manual reading was 132/83. I tried it on each of my patients throughout the day and it was always off by a minimum of 30 points. Additionally, the part of the cuff that does not stretch is very narrow, meaning that it is awkward to use on even normal sized wrists. Don't waste your money. Wrist cuffs CAN be fairly accurate but this one, sadly, is not.
