Short, Sweet, and Sexy. A perfect combination!!
Cal and Rachel are characters in previous stories from Melissa who have been eyeing each other for some time and needed to have their HEA. But Cal needed to get his head on straight and his life in order before he'd make a move. Super lucky he didn't wait a minute longer because Rach was just about done with the waiting. I loved catching up with everyone and finally seeing them FINALLY get together. Yeah, the "I Love Yous" feel like it happens fast, BUT, if you remember from past books, they've been tip-toeing around each other for a while, so it's really not as fast as it seems. And when you know you know, right?Just because it's a short story doesn't mean it's lacking in the flirty, sexy hotness. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of novellas and short stories because either the story ends in a massive cliffhanger, there isn't any character depth, or it's just missing key elements. Rest assured, this story is a perfect Melissa-style story, only on a smaller scale. A Flirt. (Cute description, btw!)Love at Last is a quick read and is meant to be read in addition to Melissa's Trusty, Weston, and Peaceful Harbor Bradens. If you're caught up with the Bradens you'll be a happy fan when you meet back up with them, their families, and their friends.P.S. Marge needs a Flirt!!

Sweet, Sexy Afternoon Read!
Love at Last features Cal Hayden and Rachel Gray. It’s a fast -paced friends to lovers novella set in Trusty, Colorado. The sexual tension between Cal and Rachel sizzles from the first page of the novella. Cal flirts out outrageously with Rachel and it’s apparent that he is very interested in her. Rachel flirts back but wonders why Cal hasn’t asked her out. Loved the smart, sexy dialogue between Cal and Rachel when they were selecting the scents for their candles. Cal was determined to make his move and it was so much fun reading how he captured Rachel’s attention and her heart!“Everything about you matters, darlin’, and your big heart is only one of the reasons you’ve captured mine.”Melissa Foster delivers a fabulous character driven romance in Love at Last. Enjoyed the couple’s connection, passion and the romance. Loved the scene where the couple danced to Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know”: it was perfect, sexy and oh so romantic! The novella is a standalone read. I have not read any of the full length novels in the Trusty series and connected to this couple immediately. The shorter length format worked for me because I could read the novella in one afternoon and meet some of the characters in the Trusty, Colorado series.Looking for a beach read---pick up Love at Last! Rachel and Cal’s passionate story will touch your heart!

Going back to Trusty is like coming home again...
Going back to Trusty is like coming home again. I really enjoyed Cal and Rachel’s story and seeing them get together when pretty much everyone knew they should be together. These two are definitely an amazing match and I loved how Cal flirted with Rachel and their night at the fairgrounds, candle making included, finally brought these two together. Add in the Braden’s and this book was great. It was fun to catch up with everyone and all the news, marriage and upcoming babies and of course right in the middle of everything is our favorite Trusty Diner staple, Margie. I felt like I was right there with everybody, hanging out and truly didn’t want to leave. My favorite part was the new addition to the family. I listened to this as an audiobook narrated by Ava Erickson and Lance Greenfield. Ava Erickson is a newer narrator to me but she did a great job narrating with Lance Greenfield. I liked how they alternated off and on during the book and they both did a great job with the characters they narrated for and Ava Erickson’s her sassiness when she narrated some of the ladies, was spot on. They both did a great job and I have to say one of my favorite narrations of a book.

A good start to a new series
I really like the idea behind this series. I've read several books with side characters that I wanted to hear more about and who unfortunately didn't get the attention that I felt they deserved. This series takes side characters from previous Melissa Foster books and gives them their own happy ending. This book features the characters of Rachel and Cal who were previously featured in Crushing on Love and a few other books. It's a cute, sweet (but steamy) little novella that takes place in the span of 48 hours. I can relate to Rachel a lot. Seriously, if the guy I had a crush on for years suddenly started flirting with me, I'd be confused too. While this book can be read as a standalone, there are some cameo appearances by other characters from the Braden series. And while it can be a little overwhelming for a new reader to try and keep track of all the marriages and babies, luckily, the Bradens only appear in a few parts. Seriously, you could skim over their parts and still be able to follow the story. Once Cal and Rachel get together, it's them and only them, which I really appreciated.I'm very curious about which characters will be the focus of the next book.

Love at Last
On yes I am going to love th Montgomery sisters stories. Grace has a fast paced, no slow down career in New York. She comes home to Virginia to help one of her sisters out for three weeks. Running into her ex-highschool boyfriend makes her realize how much she still loves him. Reed left his hometown because of bad memories, now back to stay. When these two reconnected their chemistry is off the charts. I loved the way this small hometown story makes you feel so much. A few surprises a!omg the way just makes this an even better read. I look forward to many more books about the sisters and the Bradens.
