different
Different theme than what I normally read. Interesting setup to a new series. I felt like I should have read the series with the mermaid-like beings first because there was some interesting backstory that would have connected me to the female lead and her peoples. Only had to skip a chapter and a half due to the graphic content. Would recommend

Title: Jarek Series: Dragons of PreorDestination: Book 1., 175 Pages.Author: Celia Kyle as Erin TateReviewer: Ingrid Stephanie JordanGenre: #SciFi #Aliens #AlienDragonShiftersMy Score: #5Stars☆☆☆☆☆♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡ Wowzer, Oh My Goodness this book is so extraordinary, remarkable. Can you tell I love this book, I mean unbelievable Words are beyond me to tell you how good this book was. The characters not only matched but they were all in tune together. Each chapter was magnificent I've read Ms. Celia's books before, all I can say is I just hope the 2nd book is just as good. The Knowing…is kind of like all the knowledge of the Preor will be gifted to a mated couple (literally downloaded in there brain, they have no choice it automatically does it) Because the Knowing will let you know if you have a mate when you get close enough to her, it won’t be a matter of choosing. The Knowing will strike you whether you will it or not. Jarek sen Claron, is a Alien Dragon Shifter also the War Master now add to that fact he is Four hundred fifty-seven turnings (years) he doesn't have a mate so he has never been though the Knowing. He knows this trip to Earth is probably his last. In fact that was the reason he was picked to bring these men of Preor to find an Earth Mate. Since he has long ago excepted the fact he was always be mate less, never to feel the KNOWING and soon he would have his final flight in the skies of Preor. Melissa Walker is a human who takes care of the Ujal's Royal Family, Prince Tave and Principessa Rina fa’Vyl-Zeret youngling. The Ujal, are water-living aliens, and they love Melissa. They were waiting for the War Master to appear all of a sudden Melissa can't breath, just before she's ready to pass out her breathing became normal, than the pain in her head is so intense she falls to her hands and knees. Looking over she see this huge man with wings on the floor, staring at her. This same man grabs her and screams “Prince Tave fa’Vyl-Zeret , by Earth treaty I lay claim to Melissa Walker as Kouva to Jarek sen Claron, now Jarek joi Melissa, War Master to the Preor Third Fleet" and runs. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR MY PREOR WARRIOR?
This is the first book that I have read by Celia Kyle. I have two of her other books on my TBR list and am hoping to read them soon. Wanted to read this series because she has a new book in this series coming out about baby dragons being born and I want to read it. So, I am reading the ‘The Dragons of Preor” right now. Loved this first book about Jarek and his mate Melissa. Thought Celia did an excellent job telling their story. I am hoping that this is a sign of the rest of the books in this series. This one for sure is one to grab and read. I am sure you will not be disappointed.Jarek is a dragon shifter on the planet Preor. These dragons keep the wings when in human form. (Which I thought was an awesome take on the dragon shifter.) He is getting to the age where he will go into the madness since he has not found his mate in his 457 years and he never thought to ever find her. So, as the War Master of the third fleet he decided to help the young dragons find their mate with the treaty from earth and the help of the Ujal. He had no idea that he would ever find his mate, much less on earth. He figured this would be his last trip before heading into his final journey as the madness consumes him. Once he leaves the ship to meet with the Ujal delegation he gets this odd feeling that something isn’t right and being the War Master assumed that maybe the Ujal were in danger. But that changes once he reaches delegation and he sees Melissa with the Prince Tave’s baby then the Knowing struck. The Ujal are going to be advocates in helping the Preor find their human mates. Melissa never registered as a potential Preor mate because she is the nanny to the baby of the Ujal Prince Tave and Principessa Rina fa’Vyl-Zeret. While playing with the baby Ressa, Melissa’s world began to change. She could tell that something wasn’t right and that it was as if the air is sucked out of her. She has feelings that she isn’t feeling and can’t seem to separate each feeling from the next. This is where I stop. Because from here on out you need to read the book and see for yourself how good it gets. Jarek has his job cut out for him in protecting Melissa and himself from the Preor that do not believe he deserves a mate. Will Jarek and Melissa survive the coming storm? No Spoilers.

Love Sci-fi Romance?
Bought this book in 2016 really enjoyed it and it was only £2.70. Great start up storyline and subsequent series. Involving gorgeous hot sex alfa males as the price I paid for it was spot on as after all it is an ebook. What I don't understand is how it went up in price to £5.99 today when its an old ebook novel. If you buy a book in a shop that's been out for 4 years you can pick them up for a fraction of the original price when it was first released, so it's bazar that this has actually gone up over double the original price. I have noticed recently that there are a lot of authors doing this and it's a real shame especially at this economic climate, an FYI to the author, this is how you lose a purchase and fan-followers.

Another fantastic sci-fi romance from the pen of Celia Kyle. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for the next one.
'Jarek' is the first book in the new sci-fi romance series 'Dragons of Preor' by one of my favourite authors, Celia Kyle. Connected to the fantastic 'Ujal' series, I was grabbed by this action packed story from the first page to the last. I absolutely loved it and really didn't want to put it down, but it is a full-length novel and it took me a few days to read it. Like all of Celia Kyle's books, this story can easily be read as a stand alone.Lonely, believing he'll never have a mate and not wanting to face going mad, 457 year old dragon shifter and War Master of the Preor Third Fleet Jarek sen Charon is undertaking his last mission before taking his final flight. With a population where the males outnumber the females a thousand to one, Negotaite Master Zurer joi Sobol has signed a treaty with Earth, facilitated by the Ujal, that will allow Preor Warriors to come to the planet in order to try to find their true mates, with the condition that the women must volunteer to be considered as potential Preor mates and the woman has the right to say no. But the warriors will immediately recognise their one as soon as their eyes meet and 'The Knowing' strikes them both at the same time. The Ujal delegation of Prince Tave, Principessa Rina, their daughter Reesa, her nanny Meli and assorted guards, have arrived on the ship but when Jarek enters the conference area and his eyes meet Melissa's, they are brought to their knees as their minds are overloaded with 'The Knowing'. Hell bent on securing his mate, he snatches Meli and makes a run for his quarters, only to be stopped mid-way when she puts up a fight and is then given the means to escape the ship by Rhal, the highest ranking Ujal warrior below the prince. Then all hell breaks loose as explosions rock the ship and fighting breaks out......I don't want to give any more spoilers about this fantastic story. It's full of wonderful characters both old and new, battles and bad guys to fight, some steamy bits, a lot of time spent in the medical centre of Ujal Station Tau, some humour, some stupidity and a lot of soul searching, but in the end Jarek and Melissa have so much in common, are alike in many ways, and finally get their happily ever after. This book can easily be read as a stand alone, I absolutely loved it and really can't wait for the next one in what promises to be another terrific series.

A good alien shifter read
The hero an alien dragon shifter, hated by some on his planet because of his fathers' deeds. A heroine trying to be the best she can to atone for her brother selling young other species. They meet for the very first time, an boom instant karma, and mate bonding. Not that she's happy about it. Enter the opposition dragon shifters, and the fight is on. The hero notonly has to battle his own kind, but his mates reluctance as well. However we do get our HEA. Some of it is a bit emotional, on the I never expected to find a mate and would do anything for them. However if you lived for 41/2 centuries before finding your other half, wouldn't you be.

Jarek and Melissa
Jarek is a 457 years old Preor Dragon and war Master on his last earth assignment before madness takes hold of his mind and his people are forced to put him down. The last thing he expects or anybody else is to find his fated mate on a human female. This was a amazing read. Packed with action, intrigue and very tender and heartwarming moments between the characters giving the story lots of depth. And this is only the first on this series. Cant waiter the next book. Highly recommended

This is a book that is more romance than it is fantasy,
This is a book that is more romance than it is fantasy, upon saying that, there some great fantasy characters in it.The whole premise was a little slow, so the perfect book if you want a quick or easy read.My only disappointment was the lengthy steamy scene at the end. I much prefer suggestive sex to being given the whole caboodle. I'm afraid I just skipped these pages, but there are plenty of readers who enjoy all that descriptive explanation, so it's only my humble opinion here.
