super nail Nail Bandage Instant Nail Repair

I did what I know I shouldn't have.... I opened an extremely heavy Amazon package using my nails. One of my nails broke, but halfway toward the cuticle. This is going to be a long growing out process, with the potential for extreme pain if the top part catches and pulls off. I bought this bandage and so far, so good. I applied it on my unpolished nail It's sticking so far, and even if it doesn't stick for a long time (not sure yet), it's protecting my nail and keeping me free for pain. I'm quite pleased with this purchase. Frankly, I don't think a glue repair or a glue and powder kit would work for this kind of break. Even if this needs to be replaced occasionally, I think this is giving my nail more support that I'd get any other way. UPDATE.... The first patch stayed for three days, which was more than I expected since we have puppies and my hands in water a lot. The second patch did not stick more than a few hours. The third patch is on and holding. Even though the second patch came right off, this is still, in my mind, better than any powders I've tried or glues. Additionally, if had a been a real bandage for an injury, given the amount of time my hands have been in and out of water, no bandage would stay on either. Still highly recommended, although, given what happened with the second one, I also recommend that you carry a sheet of these in your purse, in case one should come off. Wish the company made a small container for transport.

Whether my age, physical ailments or using my fingers in my oil painting class (to apply oil paint, paint thinner, paint medium--all harsh chemicals), my thumb nail started to SPLIT VERTICALLY down the middle. HELLLLLPPPPP!!! it kept getting snagged and ripping further--painful and scary and debilitating. I typed in "repair for nail splitting vertically" and this product came up. I was getting depressed because I did not know what to do before finding this product--Bandaids get wet, sticky and disgusting and fall off. This product is a clear, adhesive--but easily removed--film that goes over the split and helps keep your nail intact until the split grows out. it stays on while you do the dishes, shower, etc. YOU FORGET YOU EVEN HAVE IT ON YOUR NAIL WHICH IS SUPER AWESOME. The kit comes with 4 sheets of nail various nail size adhesives, and a small square sandpaper or nail filing sponge. To smooth out the rough edges as your nail grows and to custom fit the adhesive film. This product is nothing short of GENIUS. I am so so HAPPY and highly recommend. Saved me time & hundreds of dollars of going to a doctor for something not infected or troublesome (of course I will ask my physician on my next visit to test me for mineral or vitamin deficiencies to rule out serious illness).

It does protect cracks in your nails from snagging, and held up to normal everyday activities (such as handwashing). Is sticky, stayed, and was easy enough to use. It however did not hold up to hair washing. Fell off after washing my hair.

There are different size oval shapes on the 3 sheets.. They are really small, and I'm confused why they are shaped like nails while they would only cover a nail for a little kid. It's only for the crack, but even that could be bigger than the largest size. It worked for me, putting on the biggest one across (horizontally) over a big open crack I suffered from a car door. It looks much better than a bandaid and holds longer. I've been wearing the first one for a day now, and it gave my freedom back. I can wash my hands, or my hair without it ripping my nails off, I can finally reach into my pockets safely, hold a towel without entanglement... I put a little clear nail polish over it, but I don't think that's necessary. I'm really happy I found this product.

Product does not work as advertised. Easy to apply; yet does not stick. Does not stay on when washing hands. Some peeled off soon after placing, even after applying topcoat to cover. Do not recommend.

These are a lifesaver for split nails! This was the only thing that worked for my split toenail (split horizontally near the cuticle) and allowed it to grow out without tearing more. I was amazed at how long the patch/sticker stayed attached! I put one sticky patch on my toenail and trimmed the excess off then filed it down. I was expecting to have to replace it every few days but it NEVER came off! It held strong for over 6 WEEKS until my nail grew out completely - it withstood regular trimming and filing and lots of daily abuse (regular runs, daily showers, daily walks of 6+ miles, walking in flip flops, hot baths, etc.). NOTE - I painted over it with one coat of nail polish just to make sure it stayed in place, but I don’t think that was necessary because it stayed put well after the nail polish wore off. I’m so glad I found these! They saved me from a lot of pain and worked SOOO much better than the messy nail glue and bandaids I tried initially.

My nails tends to crack once I get any length. It's painful and I will use this product along with the super duty polish I got to go with it but just know this is a temporary fix. I had to reapply every few days as the tape applied to my clean dry, cracked nail just wasn't strong enough to stop the crack from spreading. I ended up putting a bandaid over my fingertip as reinforcement till my nail could grow out a little more to where I could cut it off and not be in the quick.

Works great for holding a split nail together and protecting it.

Several years ago, I split my thumbnail and it has never really healed correctly and keeps splitting at the tip. The bandages protect the tip and allows me to trim across the crack, slow healing the overall nail. Works great!

Needed these patches quickly for a badly broken nail & they work well. They're very sticky and adhere well. No irritation noted as the nail is split clean through. Doesn't stick to the cuticles well, but great on the nailbed. For the very healthy markup on the product, you'd think they could at least provide a tiny container to hold the patches. Clear patches on small pieces of white paper makes it look like they could be tossed out with the garbage. Otherwise happy with product but not the price.
