5 pcs O2 Oxygen Sensor Socket Set Wrench Remover Tool and Thread Chaser Set

I bought this kit to replace an oxygen sensor that my local shop quoted me $506 to replace.The tall socket fit perfectly and I saved my self over $360 by doing it myself. Easy peasy.

OK, this is not a Snap On, (old) SK, or Matco set. I did not expect that for this money. But having said that, as this is a special set not for every day use, i was very happy with the performance for the price. I do not expect them to stay rust free, but i covered them with oil to prevent that.I have read complaints that the chromed socket deforms under high torque. I can believe that. On one O2 sensor i have pulled, i could not get it to budge, so i switch to one of the shorted impact sockets instead, they are a lot stronger, even though they are offset. Any my impact gun had no problem getting the sensor to move. The set works well, and i would buy it even for my shop (that i closed a few years back). I could break a dozen of these sets, and still not have paid for a Snap On set, and the impact sockets would have to be really badly abused to break from what i have done so far.Excellent set. Always REMEMBER to use anti-seize when you put a sensor back in !

I have to remove two bad sensors from my vehicle, this special socket made my job so easy. They fit perfect and do the job.

I have used these already on my O2 sensor (99 Suburban 7.4). They handle the torque of a 24” ratchet and my right leg to break it loose np !!!

I was able to utilize one of the tools to get the O2 sensor removed. What I also found useful was the thread chaser that removed rust and corrosion making the new sensor easier to install.
