Sucralose Sweetener 500 Sticks – low calories sugar alternative, sugar-like crunchy texture, lactose-free, gluten-free

I like how you get 500 of these sticks so you do not have to measure them and can just open one and add it to your tea, or add half of it if you prefer even less sugar. They dissolve quite quickly which is nice. They do not taste weird and are just the right amount of sweetness for me. They also did not give me a headache or anything unlike some sweeteners so I am quite happy with this. I also really like how you can just take the little sticks out and about with you. They can easily be used and disposed of. This would be harder to do with a packet of this product so it is great that they come in sticks. In terms of the quality, it seems pretty good in my eyes and I am sure they will last long because of the 500 pack. I also strongly feel that this product is a good value for money at £8.98 for 500 sticks as it brings each stick down to 1.80p per one.

Good but not very good

The Mivita Sucralose arrives in a Yellow Box with the words “Sweetener” in 6 languages on the front. Also “500 Sticks. Delicious Sweet Taste Low Calories”. On another side it states “1 Stick(2 kcal) = 1 Sugar 5 Gram(20 kcal)” and “Tabletop sweetener in powder with succralose” in 6 languages. 300 Grams. On another side it tells us that “One stick of mvita has the same sweetening power as a spoon of sugar (5g) but with 2 calories” and “keep in cool and dry place”. And “tastes just like sugar” Info: 100 Grams of this product provides 90.2 grams of carbohydrate. 1 stick provides 0.54 grams of carbohydrates. Ingredients: Dextrose, Sweetener(Sucralose 1.4%) Produced in Portugal. Each stick is about 2 inches long and maybe 2 mm wide. I tried using it with my porridge and used 4 sticks and it is indeed like sugar. Or any other low calorie non-sugar alternative. Each stick has Mivita Sucralose Sweetener printed on it on one side and on the other side in incredibly tiny font it says “table top sweetener in powder with sucralose” and in larger font “delicious sweet taste”

MIVITA's Sucralose Sachets are another great choice for home use or on the go. At £8.98 for 500 sachets, these are phenomenally good value. I find sucralose much sweeter than something like Stevia, and you get almost twice as much for the same price. The powder dissolves instantly and one sachet is just right for one cup of hot drink if you like it sweet. If you prefer something a little less so, honestly, half a sachet will do! That doubles the value and gets you 1,000 drinks worth for £8.98! The box doubles as a dispenser, as the front can be perforated and pulled out allowing you to grab a sachet when needed. These are a solid 5/5, but if you prefer something a little less sweet, have a look at their Stevia options - they are just as good.

This is a weird one. All over this page it claims to be both calorie and sugar free, but the nutritional information table shows 88.6% sugar. So I immediately don't trust it. I've done a bit of research and apparently the sugar is to give it texture, and it is safe for diabetics as they claim because you need so much less of it because the ~10% that is sweetener is so much more sweet than sugar that you only need to use a fraction of the amount. But I still find it hard to trust when they've blatantly lied about what the product is many times all over the place. To me, it doesn't even have a sugar-like texture. I tried it alone and it dissolved the instant it touched my tongue. So unless we're talking about icing sugar, that's not really a similar texture. This is a huge box with so many sachets that it will last a really long time. The flavour of the sweetener is noticeable if you use too much but not at all if one sachet is used in a drink. I like it, but find it very strange the way it's being described so dishonestly.

. Sucralose based sweeteners are, for me, the very best alternative to sugar. This product is in powder form which gives the opportunity for a wider range of use. As well as the obvious use in hot drinks, we have used it to sweeten cooked fruit such as rhubarb, or in making a compote to add to plain yogurt. When used in hot drinks, it doesn't leave the metallic after taste which is apparent with some other sweetening agents. The product is packed in convenient equivalent 'one teaspoon of sugar' sized units, making it easy to store and to use. A really good product for anyone who still wants a degree of sweetness but for whom sugar is not allowed.

Great tasting and very convenient for when going out, a good alternative to sugar.

I recently tried the Mivita Sucralose Sweetener, and unfortunately, I was disappointed. While the promise of a low-calorie, sugar-like alternative is appealing, it has a noticeable chemical taste that significantly alters the flavor of my coffee and tea. I cannot recommend this product. There are better sugar alternatives out there that don't compromise the taste of your favorite beverages.
