DenTek Canker Relief Patches for Canker Sore Pain Relief, Helps Relieve Soreness from Braces & Oral Wounds, 6 Count

Unfortunately, I am extremely prone to canker cores, in every part of my mouth (along the gumline, tongue, on the inside of cheeks and lips). I get them at a minimum, monthly as they appear in sync with my hormonal cycle. I also get them with any sort of mouth trauma, such as getting hit in the face/mouth with something, biting my cheek/tongue, eating sharp foods, etc. Sometimes they are mild, sometimes quite severe. A canker sore on the inside of my cheek is what motivated me to try these. It appeared right where my bite is resulting in a severe sore with significant irritation and pain to the point that I have been struggling to sleep. I have used every canker sore product under the sun. Other patches I have used I've found to be bulky and irritating due to the medication. I am so relieved to have found this product. It provides the perfect barrier which results in instant pain relief. I was able to use my HSA to pay for these, so while they do feel a bit pricy, it's not so bad, especially considering the effectiveness of them. The product itself is very slim, like a transparent sticker, which is basically what it is. The texture is smooth, so it does feel like having a sticker in my mouth, however, it does adhere very well and stays in place. I used the directions on the box along with recommendations of other reviewers in that I rinsed with a peroxyl mouthwash prior to use and then patted the area dry before placing. You just stick it right on the affected area and press for 4 seconds. Easy peasy. There was no pain with placement other than the physical touch of pressing to adhere. It is non-medicated but the box says it does have vitamin E to promote healing. I'm not sure how well these would work on the tongue or in spots where the patch can't lie flat, as I haven't attempted to use them on one like that, yet but... It is such a simple but effective product. I find its relief to be far superior to oral numbing gels since those just temporarily numb the area, and don't prevent further rubbing or irritation. Highly recommend trying this product, especially if you have a sore in a place that is particular susceptible to regular irritants.

I don’t usually get canker sores, but boy did I get one and it has been extremely painful where I could barely eat or even talk or even have saliva touching. It has been horrifying this morning. I decided to randomly look up canker sores stuff treatments, whatever here on Amazon and pretty good reviews for these patches so I decided to give it a try got delivered within a couple hours as soon as I put it instant relief like where has this been? Obviously, I have been struggling already for a few days so the pain has been going away, but if I would’ve known, I would have been ordered these.

With only six patches per box, it feels quite expensive since you may need to use multiple patches a day, and one box can last less than two days. The patches do create a physical barrier between the canker sore and your teeth or food, which helps reduce pain significantly. However, they don’t contain any medication, so they don’t actively treat the sore or speed up the healing process.

This is really good for a quick relief. I accidentally bit into my left cheeks and the got infected in to a sore. I thought I would toughen it up but the pain so just terrible. This came the next day was really happy that it’s really effective on the spot. Great absorption, stay around 4+ plus hours but if you aren’t eat anything it can stay a bit longer. However it’s quite expensive for just 6 patches. Sores might not go away just using this.

Had a canker sore right on my tongue and was looking for more of a barrier rather than just temporary pain relief. This product does exactly what it says: it's a patch that sticks and covers the sore. I was impressed with the fact that it did stick considering the location. Downside: it's really short lived. Maybe about two hours. I'm not not sure if it was due to the location I had it placed, or if that's just the nature of the product. I'm not unhappy with it (it was a fantastic two hours!), and I'm willing to try them for different areas to see if it lasts longer, but I'm not sold on if this is THE product for me.
