how many inches apart are the holes?

On each section the holes are about 1/2” from the ends. I used mine on the mlok rails on my AR. So the distance between the holes wasn’t an issue for what I was using them for.

Would this fit on sig sauer mcx pellet rifle?

No, the rails on the MCX are Keymod, not M-Lock. Just search “Keymod Picatinny Rail” and it will come up with plenty of options.

Are the holes 2 in apart?

Each part has two places to attach the rail to your weapon.

I'm considering using these for an m-loked fore ended ar-10 build. will they handle the recoil connected with .308 win. ?

I mounted mine on a 40 cal sub 2000. Mount seemed very secure and sturdy. No problem with 40 cal recoil so far. wouldn't be afraid to try it with 308 cal.
