Easy to use, perfect for 1-2 people.
Simple, plug it in, press the menu button until the light is over the item of your choice, adjust the timer with the plus and minus buttons, follow the water / amount directions on the guide they send with the machine for each type of food to cook, and it works perfect. Keeps your food hot too until you turn it off. Makes enough food for me to have for dinner with minimal leftovers for the next morning when I use the full 2 cups of beans / rice. Settings work well, any beans Iโve tried besides pinto and lentils though will need longer than the one hour recommended cooking time for beans. I have been able to make half brown rice and half lentils / pinto beans utilizing the 1 hour bean timer. This product is very exciting. I got one for my grandma. I wish the container inside was not nonstick and was instead stainless steel, I donโt like nonstick materials and the potential health risks โ and I donโt think itโs necessary with the layout of this machine. However, it is a good machine and that is my only real point of contention. Makes things so easy. Perfect for someone working all the time or students. Very small and easy to store. Does not take up a ton of counter space. Make sure to let the machine breathe sometimes. I wipe the top area inside with vinegar and make sure to let it dry out. It can get very moist in there and there is a small vent Iโm sure things could build up in.

Best easiest rice cooker
Love this brand. Makes rice cooking way easier. Easy to clean. Love the ceramic for food safety and cleaning and none sticking. I make sushi rice white rice. It does it all very not good quality. Multiple colors. Very fast. Make two cups of rice you get four cups of perfection. Ready to eat. It's light weight which is important for me as I can't move things heavy. So very portable. And I know the instructions say not to leave on warm mode for more than 2 hours. But I wanted to see what would happen. And that thing stayed on. For 11 hours and 52 minutes. I don't recommend that but I was a curious Beaver. And when I took that rice out of there. It was still good tasting little dry obviously but not bad that it stayed consistent. The buttons on top you have to push hard to work because there not really buttons it's just flat and hard so easy to wipe down but the buttons are a bit difficult to use in my opinion but still like it. But if they could fix that in future model would appreciate.

Great Results!
Just got this rice cooker, and Iโm glad I did. So far, Iโve cooked brown rice three times and it was actually fluffy--perfect each time. There are multiple preprogrammed settings for white rice (25 min.) and brown rice (50 min.), quinoa (30 min.) and steel cut oats (25 min.). Each cooking cycle has a default cooking time, and you can adjust the cooking time in five-minute increments. It has a digital display which is nicely laid out. (There is no steamer tray included, nor steamer settings BTW.) Important point: It's a little unclear from the instructions provided what the maximum capacity of uncooked rice is. The vendor supplies a plastic measuring cup which is approximately 3/4 of a US cup. The instructions for white rice say to add 1 or 2 plastic measuring cups of white rice into the cooker and then add water up to the appropriate mark etched into the cooker pot. (This is nice as you don't have to measure out the water.) However, 2 of their plastic measuring cups equals 1 1/2 cups of uncooked rice (since each plastic measuring cup is 3/4 of a US cup). The Amazon listing says the capacity is 2 cups of uncooked rice, and I'm not sure if that means the vendor recommends you can add up to 2 US cups of dry white rice, or 1 1/2 US cups. The instructions provided are silent on this point. And by the way for brown rice the instructions refer to adding 1 or 1 1/2 of their measures of uncooked rice, which would be up to 1 1/8 US cups of uncooked brown rice. Regardless, for one or two people 1 1/2 cups of uncooked rice are quite a bit. This cooker is simple to use, small, light and compact, yields great results, and at this time is over 40% off. It's sleek and modern looking as well. I highly recommend it.

A modernized version of a tried-and-true system
The internal components of this GreenLife unit, including the heating element and the metal/ceramic non-stick pot, are virtually identical to those of the Cuisinart rice cooker I have used for the past dozen years. The measuring cup and spoon differ only slightly. They both work the same way: if you put in exactly one scoop of white rice, fill with water to the "1" line and turn on the device you get perfect rice for two people. Or use double amounts for four people. No muss, no fuss. But the GreenLife is much better in two respects. First, this unit has a hinged lid that vents steam through an inner lid liner that retains moisture and prevents the rice from drying out in "keep warm" mode. (The poorly fitted removable glass lid on the Cuisinart finally fell on the floor and broke, but it also vented steam through a hole). Second, the electronic controls provide fine tuning for white rice, brown rice or grains, and there is a digital timer, which counts down 25 minutes for a batch of white rice and then automatically flips into keep warm mode with the timer counting up. I see only one design fault: with normal kitchen lighting it is extremely difficult to read the embossed water level markings on the inside of the pot (see photo). I now wish I hadn't thrown out the Cuisinart pot, where the marks and numbers were colored white. I now have to move the pot directly under a light to fill it accurately. But the rice is perfect and it doesn't dry out in warm mode, so I no longer need to add water if I don't use it right away. Well worth the price.
