Those of you that said the FDA does not approve medical devices are just so wrong.  Quit opening your mouth when you don't know what you're talking about.

This is from the FDA website:  "FDA regulates the sale of medical device products (including diagnostic tests) in the U.S. and monitors the safety of all regulated medical products."

What are the benefits of being able to see the pulse rate waveform?

The waveform is only used to visualize that the finger has enough blood perfusion to make an accurate reading. It is entirely possible for someone to have a 99% O2 Sat and get abnormal O2 Sat readings due to poor blood perfusion in the finger. The waveform is not an EKG and shouldn't be used for heart rhythms, only for a heart rate/pulse rate (same thing).

What's the difference between ip900ap and ip900bp?

Hi, my name is Tina and I am with Innovo Medical. Thank you for your interest in our products. The only difference between the Premium model iP900BP and the Deluxe model iP900AP is that the iP900AP has an alarm and beep function. With this, you are able to set the high and low parameters for both the SpO2 and pulse rate. The alarm will come on when the readings go below or over these set parameters.
