Kopf Grandis Large Cooking Pot, Stainless Steel, 9 L, D x H: 24 x 20 cm

This is a stainless steel lightweight cooking pot. It has a capacity of 10 litres which makes its lightweight design super convenient. The pot has a glass lid that fits snugly. The lid is secure and it has a vent to allow steam to escape while it is in use. There are metal handles on the side of the pot, two, and these feel strong and sturdy. When the pan is full to maximum capacity the handles still feel sturdy. This pot is quite large so it needs to be placed on a larger burner to ensure an even heating of the cooking pot. When the pot was heating up cold water it was clear to see, from the outside, the level of water that was within the pot. The pot was very effective at cooking and I have not experienced any problems with leakage. The handles are sturdy so they are suitable for moving the pot, for draining water etc. I felt confident using this that it was not going to let me down, and it hasn't so far. Being lightweight is a fantastic benefit for me and it means that I could make large batches of pasta sauce, soup, stock or other cooking items and still be able to move the pot comfortably. The lid made it easy to see how cooking was going and overall I was really pleased with the quality of this pot. I received this cooking pot for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I have looked at other pots of this size, which I need for making marmalade in a good quantity, and the prices were mostly more thant double the price of this one, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality, but it seems to be very solid and well made. I can't comment on actually using it till January, but I have since bought other pans in the same make, and the quality and ease of cleaning of these is almost perfect, and this pot looks similar in quality and finish. There is some doubt about the capacity - the seller calls it 15 litre, and many reviewers refer to 10 litre, so I measured with a one-litre jug, and, while the pot will just hold 15litres of water, it could only be at a very slow simmer - I would say the usable capacity would be about12 litres, and, if you are cooking something that expands - like marmalade - 10 is probably nearer the mark.

Good buy

This is a huge cooking pot holding a large 10 litres at it's maximum capacity. It is the perfect pot for cooking stews, curries and even large amounts of pasta/rice if cooking for a lot of people at one time. It is quite lightweight which is actually good as it means, when full, it is not too heavy to lift. The pot comes with a glass lid which fits perfectly. There are two metal handles at the side for lifting. These do get a little warm when the pan has been on the hob a while. The pan heats up quickly on our electric hob, however, because it is so large I have found the edges of the pan don't touch the hob so don't heat up as quickly. Because it is so large there are some disadvantages. it is heavy when completely full and I don't feel I can use it all of the time because it is so big. It also takes up a lot of storage space! Overall a good quality pan that is great for cooking large quantities. I received this pan free of charge in return for my honest review.

It's exactly as it appears. Some reviews have said the sides are a little thin and that's kinda true. But I can't imagine what you'd be doing to it where that would become a problem, and if they were much thicker it would start getting heavy. I really like it, it's made well and does the job.

I bought this to make base curry sauces after getting the 'Curry Guy' book. I don't usually have much need for such a massive pan, but was having to use 2 pans to make the big batch of curry sauce he recommends and this was much easier. I've also used it to make a big batch of jam and it worked well for that. What else can I say - if you have need for an enormous pan, this is a good one. Some reviewers said it was quite a light-weight pan but that seems like a good thing to me - 10L of anything weighs enough without having a heavy pan to lift too.

Bought this for cooking a 4KG gammon joint to make a glazed christmas ham. It does the job perfectly, yes the metal is light in weight but if you're not using it on a daily basis then I wouldn't let the negative reviews put you off.

Für private Feste oder größere Runden mit 10+ Personen ist dieser Topf genau das Richtige. Wir nutzen ihn regelmäßig für Gulasch, Chili con Carne, Thai-Currys und andere Eintopfgerichte – und sind mit der Größe und Funktion sehr zufrieden. Das Volumen von 15 Litern ist perfekt für große Mengen, und trotz seiner Größe lässt sich der Topf gut handhaben. Das Material wirkt auf den ersten Blick relativ dünn, was den Eindruck etwas schmälert – allerdings hat das in der Praxis auch Vorteile: Der Topf ist angenehm leicht und lässt sich problemlos bewegen, auch wenn er voll ist. Die Wärmeverteilung ist für unsere Einsatzzwecke ausreichend, gerade auf dem Induktionsherd funktioniert das Kochen gleichmäßig und zuverlässig. Fazit: Ein praktischer, großer Kochtopf für alle, die gerne für viele kochen. Kein Schwergewicht in der Küche, aber absolut zweckmäßig – gerade fürs Kochen in großen Mengen ein echter Gewinn.

I am very surprised to read bad reviews on the quality of this pot. I purchased one in October 2022, and have been using it frequently, and it looks almost as brand-new, no issue with steel quality and no other issues. I am about to purchase a larger pot one of this brand.
