The OEM was also a 42Wh battery. This comes with 2 magnetic tipped screwdrivers, which were very handy in handling the small screws in the laptop. It comes with instructions, but I went to the Dell site and watched their instructional video. For those that are not so tech savvy and wondering if they can change out their batteries, I would say most can. This was not extremely difficult to do, and this replacement battery fit perfectly. It does NOT come with any battery cables/connectors, so keep this in mind that you need your existing connectors. I liked that this charged up quickly and showed a strong charge with a long-lasting charge according to my PC readout. Made in China, but so was the OEM battery.
