Cap does not open when switch is pushed. Is there some secret to get this product to work?

Broken probably. Try blowing hard on the flame “nozzle”. Sometimes that works if it’s clogged.

I have very weak fingers. Is the button easy to push?

Easy to push, am broke old man and I can do it. Not the best in wind, but it will go in 20 knots if you use your body to block. Don’t drop the bottom will come off.

Is the lid spring loaded, and does it pop open automatically when you depress the igniter?

Yes! But press in slow motion so when lid pops flame will come out! If you do it fast you’ll have to press twice
