The item had damage so I requested for new one but the second time also it has similar damage.

I filled the GearRoot black carafe with boiling water before bed and woke up less than 8 hours later to find water warm. Ran a different test in the morning in case I made a mistake with the first test (like not putting lid on tightly). At 9:30 am I filled black carafe with 4 cups of boiling water and checked it 60 minutes later at 10:30 and it was hot. Checked every 60 minutes and it remained drinkably hot. At 3:30 it was warming but still hot enough to drink. By 5:30 it was tepid. So carafe does not stay hot for 12 hours as claimed, closer to about half that. I did not test whether carafe stays cold. This carafe would be fine for a home (large family? Big coffee drinkers?), restaurant (storing hot coffee while freeing up machine to make more), office (conferences, luncheons, breakfast meetings). I can’t imagine a scenario where somebody needs coffee to be kept hot for 12 hours. I kind of think it would get bitter. In my book 6 hours is a win and at $17 each I think the price is good.

This is a really neat carafe that I absolutely love. It has such a simple design, but is almost like a thermal pitcher. Of course, it doesn't only have to be used for coffee, but it can also be used for cold drinks as well, making it Perfect for different types of get togethers, even if you're having a little outdoors party You I also, I do have to say, I love the fact that not only do they give you two of these, but they also give you little cleaning brushes as well, which is a neat cherry on top that brings this all together, Double of these are amazing 😍. This has to be one of the favorite sets I've had in a while. Thank you.

I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A CARAFE HOWEVER I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THEY NEVER LIVED UP TO KEEPING MY COFFEE HOT OR MY ICE TEA COLD BUT WHEN I SAW THESE FOR $33.99 FOR THE SET I FIGURED "WHY NOT" AND BOUGHT THESE AND I WAS SO HAPPY. IN ONE OF THE CARAFES I PUT IN ICE AND MY COFFEE FOR ICE COFFEE AND IN THE OTHER I PUT MY HOT COFFEE IN JUST TO SEE HOW THESE WOULD HOLD UP. THE NEXT MORNING I CHECKED AND MY ICE COFFEE STILL HAD ICE IN IT AND MY HOT COFFEE WAS STILL HOT SIDE..NOT STEAMING HOT BUT HOT ENOUGH TO DRINK WITHOUT HAVING TO WARM IT UP. THESE ARE MADE VERY WELL PLUS THEY CAME WITH (2) BOTTLE BRUSHES TO CLEAN THESE OUT. IF YOUR ON THE FENCE WITH THESE I WOULD SAY TO JUST GET THEM. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
