I like the jacket. It’s nice but it’s not what I expected. Thought it was going to be a little thick but it’s a light weight jacket

At the garment level, this appears to be a well-constructed jacket. Stitching is solid and there are no obvious dangling threads or anything. It is thinner than one would traditionally associate with a bomber jacket, landing about midway between a puffy bomber jacket and a thin Eisenhower jacket. Your mileage may vary, but I live in the deep south and appreciate that I can actually wear this for upwards of several weeks a year. Now, we must, I suppose, discuss the patch work. They are a fresh take on the traditional patches, very close to the real thing but just slightly different. The American flag is printed instead of embroidery. The NASA meatball is just slightly off. The kerning is off on "100th Shuttle Mission." This does have the large silky patch sewn into the back lining of the jacket, but it refers to a "Clevo P150 SM-A" which I have discovered is a laptop model, so one could imagine the copy and paste function became involved. If this is a gift for a very strict and pedantic space nerd (say, Neil deGrasse Tyson), these differences may be an issue. I find them fascinating and quite adorable. Why go for the same ol' same ol' official bomber jacket (very expensive, almost always out of stock), when this guy is a better value and a just weird and entrancing little piece of bobo art.

So, I am a woman who usually wears a size XL (in womens). I saw this jacket and thought it was really nice so I ordered it in a mens large. The sleeves are a bit big, but other than that, the jacket fits really well but is not a "bomber" on me, since I have a shorter torso. The patches are a cool touch, but I will probably be removing them, to be honest (some patches are adhered with velcro, others are sewn, others are ironed-on). I think it will be cute for the spring or fall. Seems to be really nice quality. Will update with any changes to me review after a couple wears.

Way too small

To be brutally honest, I was actually very disappointed with this NASA MA-1 style flight jacket. I actually own a proper MA-1 flight jacket purchased directly from NASA (different color and some different patches) and this is a pale comparison of that. This jacket comes with a total of 8 patches with the American flag patch on the left sleeve being velcroed. However the first major problem with these patches are that they are not correct. All the patches are fuzzy and most are smaller than the proper NASA patches. I've attached a couple of pictures showing the difference between the patches that are on this flight jacket and the exact same official NASA patch. Next the jacket is quite a bit thinner than a MA-1 jacket. That's not necessarily a bad thing especially in the summer months if its raining and you need to quickly grab a jacket. Size wise the jacket is fine. You have multiple choices of sizes as well as a couple of different styles including jackets with hoodies (that are detachable). Overall this is not a proper/official NASA MA-1 flight jacket and although it is cheaper, I would spend the extra to get an official one.

I tried the jacket XL and it's too small for me. Won't even go over my shoulders. I'm 250 lbs 5' 11".. so I had my wife try it on. It fits her perfectly. She's 5'7",, 165 lbs. This is more of a wind breaker than anything and not sure if it's water proof but definitely a windbreaker. It's got the really cool badges and looks the part. It's not what I was expecting it to be, but my wife thinks it's cool. Based on that. I would recommend this.
