Lauri Standard-Size Pocket Chart

We are homeschooling our 5 yr old, so I wanted to get a pocket chart of some sort to put in the sight words as we are learning them. Eventually I'd also like to use it for sentence building. The pocket rows are perfectly spaced. We have sight word cards in 3 different sizes, 3" x 5", 4"x6" and 5"x7". It accommodates all 3 sizes quite well. The 5"x7" card do overlap if using more than one row, but not so much so that you can't read the word. We also have smaller 3" x 3" square cards (for math) and those fit perfectly too.We do not have a lot of horizontal space, so a wall chart was perfect for us (as opposed to a table chart). But check the size before you buy, because it is big! I read the size before I purchased it, but it just didn't register until I actually had to hang it up.So far, it has held up very well. It has reinforced seams and grommets to hang it from. My 10 mth old has grabbed some of the bottom clear pockets before I could get to him and I just knew it would fall apart - but it didn't! My 5 yr old is also not the most gentle, but as I said, so far so good.

This is a fantastic pocket chart. Very sturdy and durable. I was worried about the size and durability due to the cost, but it is a regular sized pocket chart and made of very strong material. The plastic holders are not flimsy or loose. It does not have a plastic rods in the ends, however, it does have multiple holes to hold the chart up and the material is so thick that it doesn't need the rods to keep its shape.

It came bent. Sent it back.

This is a very nice pocket chart. Good size and nice pockets. Not much to say, it's a pocket chart, and it works!

The Product is great. But on the image of amazon.com, it shows the chart with the pocket at the bottom where we put the cards. I expected to receive the product as the image shows.

I have purchased several things from Amazon recently and I must say, so far this is my favorite item!!! I have a grade schooler who is working on her site words and blends and this pocket chart is EXACTLY what we needed. Prior to this purchase, I made a chart out of felt and Velcro. My orginal idea was a good one, just not the best execution of it. Lol So greatful for this product, it makes the learning process efficiently functional and fun! Thanks Amazon for offering such a great product.

I bought this chart to hold vocabulary words. It's a great size and it also holds pictures to go with the vocabulary words. I bought the extra storage pocket Smethport Kangaroo Storage Pouch Add-On to the Standard-Size Pocket Chart (739)to hold extra vocab words and pictures.

I use this chart to hold sentence strips for cooperative paragraphs written by my students. It hangs on the upper strip of my dry-erase board where there are metal hooks. It hangs down almost completely to the marker tray of my dry-erase board. Students love using it to display their work and move parts of their sentences while revising and editing. It is thick and very sturdy. It is one of the best items I've bought for my classroom in the past five years.
