This Hallmark presentation from the Holiday Homecoming Series is a little disappointing in its presentation. While the box is a nice display cover it lacks the background that the others in the series had. This background is a simple red box. This doll is representing the late 40's era. The facing page does show a floor standing radio from that period while Barbie sits on an overstuffed tufted back pink sofa with boxed surround pleats. There is a wall sconce in the background. Barbie dances to a "big band" in a stylistic floor length evening gown of evergreen taffeta. Dress is slightly gathered at waist with a boxed pleat in the front. Bodice is covered with black lace decollete. Wide satin sash waist is gathered in front with a poinsettia and silvered ribbon. Barbie wears a long mutton sleeved bolero jacket trimmed in the tinniest red cording at the edge. The hair-do and make-up are very reflective of the period. Barbie's bangs are rolled in a tight rolled back curl and her long golden blonde page-boy is swept up and pulled back from her face, then gathered in a lace snood with matching poinsettia trim of waist corsage. Barbie's makeup reveals light fine-lined brow line with deep full red lipstick and a beauty mark placed high on the cheek bone. She wears small gold button earrings. Her shoes are black platformed heels with straps.

Doll is fine, package is not great and shows signs of wear
