Not for extensive handheld play
I liked this initially. Looks cool and gives more protection to Switch. I don’t like how hard it is to get the games out when you stash them in the case let alone how hard it is to get this off repeatedly. I liked the feel of the grips but definitely noticed the added weight. Be careful with headsets and chargers - somemay not fit in the cutout holes. My breaking moment with this is how hot it gets my console- I’m not sure the average person will run into this but it’s not unusual for me to play the battery completely down and plug and play in handheld mode. Gets very warm and I noticed the fan was working much harder even being downright noisy. I’ll be sticking to my silicone hand grips so I don’t overheat my Switch.

Good case
This case is very nice and of good quality. Works very well, and I love the color. The price is also a huge plus. The only gripe is that it's a difficult to put on and take off, so parents will most definitely have to do it for your children
