I don't know if I can use a competitor's brand name but the most popular one rhymes with "stout". Zout is just as convenient while much more effective at removing most stains without a trace in a single wash (Though probably not indelible stains like mustard and beets. For those and really dreadful grease stains, you'll have to try a much more expensive product.) You'll have the best results if you treat and wash the clothes immediately, but I regularly neglect stains and it still works like magic. One example: I fell into a filthy gutter, grinding dirt into a white t-shirt. Stupidly, I let it dry. Zout returned the shirt to its original bright white. Amazing.

Sour is the best stain remover and I have tried most if not all. It even removes dried blood.

Gets stains out better than anything else I’ve tried. Spray it on - rub fabric together a few times. I only let mine sit a couple of minutes before throwing it in the wash. Works great.
