It's a very good product and you can feel the difference while listening to songs when connected to a phone. However, the sound output is very low when connected to my Bravia XR TV. I mean even at level 60 it feels like 10. Later found out that for my BRAVIA XR TV late 2022 model it needs a wireless transmitter WLA-NS7 for the 360 Spatial audio / 3D surround sound effect to work which could cost anywhere b/w 5k to 9k more. I've ordered the transmitter which is yet to be delivered. I'll provide my review again after using it with the transmitter. It works as intended with newer gen Bravia TVs like the 2024-25 models which doesn't require the transmitter. Wireless transmitter is now delivered. I’m writing this part of review after few weeks now. Works excellent when connected via wireless transmitter wla-ns7 to 2022 model Bravia XR TV. Sound is louder and crisp as slew as immersive. Impressive product. Purchased the wireless transmitter from a different e-comm website as unavailable in Amazon.

You will be amazed by what this device promise and how truly it delivers. The surround sound is good and the lows are clear, but it shines when it comes to dialogues. Nothing can beat the crystal clear clarity of dialogues especially when you are watching an action sequence with muffled dialogues in it. Great device Sony

Good gadget

Perfect if you've got a monitor/tv setup that you're going to be using by yourself and want a surround sound experience. Great for gaming as well. Great Battery Life, max volume and audio quality with a sleek look, much lighter than earlier neckband models

This is sooooo overrated. Not only is this just a glorified speaker, it’s also “Fully” and “clearly” audible to every tom dick and harry in the room you’re sitting in, the next one, and the one after that. I kept seeing reviewers say that people next to the individual wearing these might hear a faint sound but won’t be able to make out what you’re listening to. Utter nonsense. Everyone will hear everything. It’s practically the same amount of sound your TV would be in, but instead coming through these speakers hanging on your neck. In no way are these an improvement to the use case…or a convenience. Save your money. Mine is lost for good. This is the worst tech investment I’ve made in the recent past. Now, all of that was a gripe on the usability of the device. Next up.. purchasing it on Amazon. Look at the fine print. This device is replaceable only. No returns. To make it worse..it’s replaceable ONLY after you’ve taken it to a Sony service center! If you’re thinking “if the device is faulty, I’ll just click a button and someone from Amazon will pick it up and a replacement will arrive”, you’re so so so wrong. My device has a faulty right speaker. Amazon support is useless for this case. They simply pointed me to Sony support. I was on the call with them twice, starting my story from the beginning. They finally told me to take it to a Sony center to ascertain the problem and if it’s eligible for a replacement. So here i am, driving in Bangalore traffic to get this thing to a center before it closes and i lose my option of getting a replacement altogether. It has been a horrendous experience buying Sony stuff on Amazon. Just visit you regular brick and mortar store and see if it makes sense to buy this device (please don’t). I can honestly say it’s an utter useless device.

Incredible sound quality and Dolby Atmos on my mobile, used with a DAC and also Bluetooth, is amazing. Outstanding performance. Crisp highs and mids, bass is sufficient; it's a proper balanced sound. As audiophiles, this fuller and wider soundstage feels like a 3D Atmos space around you. Feel your favorite song alone with your virtual world around you..

I am not a technician, but as a user I can share my review. Thoroughly impressed with the “spacial sound” & while resting it’s soft on shoulders. The cons (?) Nothing. …but I felt the + or - (signs for increasing or decreasing the volume) are given in the same colour which could have been given in a contrast colour enabling the user to see them in darkness. Besides the buttons appear to have been designed for hard touch…(It’s altogether a diff matter that once we are habituated, we will do it automatically……)

These have really nice sound and you can sense the separation of music output. Comfortable to wear and the battery lasts a long time. I haven't downloaded the app that allows you to do different settings, so far I'm content with the way they are. If I had to pick one small negative, when I'm leaning back in my computer chair (kinda slouched down) they have a tendancy to wanna slide off of you and fall backwards. But other than that they are nice wearable speakers. I do find the price a little high at three hundred plus tax CAD, but if you want good quality then you'll need to reach a little deeper into your pocket for that luxury. UPDATE... After trying them for three weeks I have decided to return them. The sound is still great but they have one annoying fault. If you're like me and you like to sit back, perhaps a little slouched in your computer chair, they will fall off your shoulders and onto the floor behind you. They need to come up with a way to prevent that from happening before you can be sure they'll stay on you. So I am returning them and until they fix that problem, I don't recommend them.

Good sounds and battery. Sometimes the odd drop out, but have not established the cause.

I can watch TV in my mancave right above my wife's work office. Sounds great and doesn't disturb her. Temper expectations. These will NOT blow you away for you audiophiles out there. That's not what they are for. Although they do sound great and surround your head with sound, placing you right in the center of the action while still leaving you able to comfortably hear what is going on around you, they are not going to replace the superior sound of noise canceling headphones or your sound system. They are a bit on the pricey side, they are perfect for what I was looking for and worth EVERY penny. I definitely recommend and am extremely happy with my purchase. FYI, I am using them with an all Sony System (Bravia TV, Sony surround system, & Sony 4k blu ray player) so have had zero compatibility problems. Everything works perfectly together. Battery lasts a real long time also, I regularly will binge a whole season of something without having to recharge.

I have no idea why no one is reviewing these. These things are amazing! At least I think so, the sound quality is on par with any other high end Sony sound product. And these are awesome if you live in a household like mine. I live in a small house, with a 13yr old Grandson who sits at his computer with headphones all the time, and a wife who really isn't into big theater sound when watching movies, and most of the time I want to watch a movie when she doesn't. So, until I got these speakers, I had to resort to using headphones of some sort or another. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I couldn't hear my wife when using my headphones, and nine times out of ten as soon as I started watching a movie, she would want to talk to me. But with these speakers I can have it all!! I can have my big theater sound without bothering anyone else in my house, AND I can have a conversation with my wife at the same time! Another awesome thing about these speakers is that I can wear them at work. My company does not allow us to wear headphones or earbuds while working for safety reasons, but it's perfectly ok for me to listen to a Bluetooth speaker. This Bluetooth speaker sits on my shoulders!! Yes, they are way pricey, but they are built with Sony quality, sound awesome, and for me, worth their weight in gold for so many reasons! Now these things will not be suited for traveling using public transit, you're going to annoy others sitting right next to you because they can hear things that you're listening to, it's just at a lower volume than what you're actually hearing. But that's why you use headphones or earbuds. These are not for travel; these are for big personal theater quality sound without the need of wearing headphones or earbuds. There is what I would consider a very small problem with them. If you move around a lot while wearing them, such as cleaning house, etc. They have a tendency to shift around on your neck, but if you're sitting still watching a movie, they feel very comfortable. I would like to see Sony come out with some sort of clip to hold them together at the front, or maybe a stronger band in the back that will hug your neck a little more.
