Would you say this is better than johnstone's interior wood & metal quick dry satin?

If you want it for indoor wood, it's the best. If you want a paint for wood and metal then get superdec. Don't worry about the name it is not for decking. Been in trade for 29 years.

How's the brushmark looking?

I used a brush initially and a roller after, looks good.

Could doors be sprayed with this paint? Better brushed?

Never tried to spray. Brushing gave a very good finish.

Can this paint be applied over a previous coat of gloss after keying it with mild sandpaper?

best to use the undercoatbut you might get away with your idea could you try a small area. Its very good paint easy to apply
