Great
These things are great. We used them on a trip froze the water and used them for ice packs and drinking water. Held up perfectly

Just as advertised.
These work really well for water storage. I like to have extra on hand when we have weather moving in, just in case.

Makeshift Air Conditioner
After looking for cooling mats, and realizing most were simply bags filled with cold water, I tested with my water bottle (you know, those old-fashioned red ones that you fill with water) to see if this idea would work. I filled the water bottle with water, froze it, then set it out, wrapped once in a towel, for my cat. He hates being indoors, but I Know in Florida as a medium-haired cat he's got to be hot, even on the shaded patio. Sure enough, after a couple days, he gravitated towards the frozen bottle. But, I needed something that would last longer. That started my search for the product I'm reviewing. And they work Marvelously for keeping Monkey cool. The good: Massive capacity Easy to fill Easy to transport Freezer-friendly Multi-pack Cost The bad: Condensation Small cracks in the plastic from being frozen in shape, then moved So-so: I still can't tell if it's condensation or a faulty lid. The majority of the condensation occurs at the spout, so I'm suspicious of the lid. However, for less than $12, I now have a cooling option for my cat, and he seems to very much enjoy it. He's usually on the cot (I stole it from the dogs since they're too posh to use it) with his back or tail resting against the frozen bag. Whether it will continue to stand up to massive use (I've used each bag 8 times so far) remains to be seen. The small cracks I see in the plastic are superficial, thus far. They're a product of that section of the bag being frozen, but with only a small layer of ice resulting. When I lift the bag from the freezer, those spots tend to break, which causes extra stress on the plastic, potentially breaking it in those sections. I've tried my best to eliminate the water in those sections by getting all the air out, but there is always a very thin layer of water, and that will always freeze. It's not perfect, but it's working. Especially when Monkey is smart enough to go Under the cot. If he goes beneath the bag, then the cold air is falling and acts like an air conditioner. I've learned that, if I go camping in the future I will have these bags with me for the cooling effect alone. It's a 6º difference or so beneath the cot, and more if butted right up against the bag.

Great to have on hand
I have had to use these bags twice for emergencies. Just before our recent ice storm, I filled the bags and set them in the bathtub (I couldn’t just fill the tub because my dog would go swimming in it). I ended up with a freeze break and had to turn off water to the house. I didn’t worry cause I could use the bags of water to flush until the plumbers could get to me. They seem to be very durable and easy to store empty when not in use.

Good Purchase
Bought these for a motorcycle trip and they held up very well. The seams hold better than expected and there was no loss of water. Cleaning the inside could be a bit difficult without the proper brush. I've only used for water so when I was finished just used a little bit of bleach and water to rinse out. Let dry upside down for a few days to make sure all was dry and stowed them away for the next time.

Lots of condensation and good luck getting them to dry after use
We finally got to use these during what we usually call a car-camping trip, meaning that we take stuff with us that we would normally not even consider taking when we go backpacking. I'm not sure how long these could last after a few uses. But they did work for this trip. We faced a couple of inconveniences with them. First, they condensed a lot on the outside! This is not a problem if you keep them in a plastic, container-type cooler. But we had one in a cooler thats a backpack and the bottom of the backpack got soaked as somehow the water from the condensation went through the insulation layers and the outside fabric. So would not recommend using these in fabric coolers; only in plastic ones. Second inconvenience we faced, I guess it had more to do with the weather we faced than the product itself. It was very hot during the day, at least for us here in the upper Midwest, about 90°F (somebody in Southern California or Arizona may laugh at that, but for us who are used to freezing temperatures in yhe winter, that is like scorching hot.) But the temperature dropped to about lower 60's during the night. The ice did not melt that much overnight. So we didn't have a lot of water to drink in the morning as we were hoping and needing. Only the bag we had kept in the backpack cooler was about 1/4 melted and we had to ration the water between two adults and a 7-year old. Not fun. I don't think I can fully blame the product for this. After all, it's physics. But you're basically left to chance. There's no way to know how long these are going to stay frozen. It depends on the weather and climate conditions. Either way, I found them convenient and they did the work, I guess. But what I truly don't like about them, good luck letting them dry completely. It's been days that I had left them to air dry because I have no idea how to get the remaining water out. I don't want to out home away and then find mold in them the next time we want to use them. The picture im attaching is from 7 days after the trip and it still has drops inside. Would I buy it again? Doubtful. Would recommend them? Yes, as disposable optionperhaps, which means washing your money.
