I use this for pottery to flatten down clay on the wheel to make plates. It works perfectly for a 14" bat, as it is slightly larger than the bat, but still fits within the 17" wide splash pan. The quality of the wood is also way better than the cheap pine hardware store dowel I tried at first, which sucked up water like crazy. This seems to be some sort of hard wood with tight grain that does not retain much water.

I like it! I can tell it is going to roll really nice fit pizza crust and pie crusts. It’s nice and smooth to the feel. I have a ceramic one that I got years ago that is pretty and heavy compared to this one. People that wrote about those ceramic ones are right. Stuff sticks to them. I try flouring it and dough still sticks to it. I had an old wooden one with handles that I gave away because of that ceramic one that I should have kept. This one without those handles looks like it will be much easier to roll the dough out evenly like someone said. The handles cut down the length of the roller. This one looks like it is going to be much easier to work with. I can’t wait to try it. It is good value for the money and it feels like it is easy to clean. I will do an update when I use it. So far I like it!

I used this to roll out 2 pie crust for Thanksgiving…. OMG… smooth as silk rolling out!! I normally use my big round rolling pin, this one made it so much smoother and easier!! Would definitely recommend it if you’re a pie baker! Can’t wait to try on Christmas cookies!

Big enough for my once in a while dough needs. It can also be use as a weapon, lol. It’s smooth and made of real wood.

Not heavy enough for pizza dough but good for cookies
