The workmanship and quality of the wood is very good. I weight 175lbs and i did not need the center support. I read reviews stating the mounts are uneven. That did happen to me on assembly but i got the mounts to level out. Assembly tip: leave the screws not fully tight to allow for the mounts to settle in and even out with your weight. Then retighten screws in small increments until tight. I am 60yo and working on my balance. My balance is fine but i want to improve to maintain a good balance. The beam is a good exercise investment. I do my exercises anywhere within my home from its portability.

This beam is so well constructed and it took less than five minutes to assemble. There are two screws and a little tool included to get it tighten up and ready for use. It's been so helpful to work on my balance and strengthen my feet and ankles. The wooden elevated feet that have to be attached to each end has a non skid rubber padding. This holds the beam in place without slippage making it safe to work on my exercise routine. I love the feel of the smooth wood under my feet and this is great for the kiddies as well. I am vey pleased to have this in the privacy of my home to work on my routines. I definitely recommend it.

As a 350lb man, it holds up well.

Holds both my husband and I,and is challenging! It’s very stable especially with an optional third support piece in the middle if needed. It’s very stable and functional.

The screw hole locations in my beam were misaligned rather badly so that only 3 of the 4 feet rested on any reasonably flat floor. While surfaces may vary this was off enough to site lengthwise down the beam upside down and see the feet twisted relative to each other. I added a thick rubber foot, maybe 3/8" thick, on one of the feet, and that mostly leveled it (had to remove the rubber pad that comes with it to get it to stick). I wouldn't have complained if I just needed a little shim to accommodate my particular floor but this was beyond the pale. Note that the center leg is free floating so self levels. All that said I still like it and use it for balance work. As a fit athletic senior I can stand on it for 1-3 seconds before losing balance and gently stepping off (grrrrrr :); working to extend that longer.

If you have plantar fascitis this is not for you. It is hard to a flaring feet. Never jump immediately using this if you have a current condition.

Smooth finish and feels so good on my feet. Even I could assemble it by myself.
