Seeds arrived sooner than expected. I haven't had growth yet as I just received the seeds. There are tons of seeds, and I'm excited about all the benefits of micro-clover: drought-tolerant, nitro-fixing, no-mow required, lawn replacement. Our new build is on a steep slope that would make mowing impossible. The top soil was removed in excavation, so I'm hoping to sow the clover as ground cover and not have to mow. Im not replacing existing grass. But the micro-clover sounds so easy and perfect for what I'm looking for. Edit: the sample seeds i buried mid-March (zone 6/7) germinated in my clay soil in about a week. Even some of the broadcast seed is starting to germinate. Germination rates seem very good.

I just purchased my second bag of this miniclover seed, because I was so impressed with the results from the first bag. The germination rate has me deeply impressed. My yard is more green, more lush, softer, and more attractive to pollinators. I find that sprinkling the seed while it’s raining or just prior to it raining helps a lot. You won’t need to water the seeds unless your area goes through a dry spell. And even then, it shouldn’t need that much water. The quality of the miniclover that’s been growing is exactly what I’d hoped it would be. The closer puts nitrogen back into the soil. Making the lawn healthier overall. It’s just a win-win scenario.

Love this stuff. 5b zone, horrible new construction “soil.” Couldn’t get grass to grow, especially with a slightly sloped yard. Pictures are the same section of lawn exactly two years apart. I seeded with the mini clover last summer and had great results. Watered it a couple times a day for about a month then down to once a day then let the rain take over. Came back to life in the spring. It greens up the grass that’s managed to survive and holds up well to one dog and a kid. We usually mow once a week due to ticks. But we’ve let it go up to three weeks and the clover sits at about 5inches with the grass flopping over on it.

I've purchased 25 pounds of this over the past two years. Not entirely sure it's really "micro"clover at full maturity. It is currently very flowered even though it's cut at the lowest setting on our mower. I did expect flowering but this is described as having less than typical white clover and it seems to actually have more flowering. I'm just not convinced this isn't just regular white Dutch clover so I'm unsure I'll continue purchasing this expensive seed. I'm about to spread some white Dutch clover seed in weedy areas and will compare. However, it does germinate well. I suggest soaking the seeds in water for at least a day before spreading them. Our yard has very poor, rocky soil as it was previously a gravel pit and this has taken the best over various grasses I tried growing in past years. It is much more green than the sad grass we have - especially as summer drought hits. It actually been staying evergreen during winter here in west Michigan. One other great thing is that apparently grubs don't like to eat the roots of clover compared to grass and we definitely have grubs.
