I LOVE my Pergola. It's really is stunning and true to picture (and so it should be for the price!) I was able to put it together myself because I'm confident with D.I.Y. However, as it is made of real wood, it is heavy does get heavier as you go along and there are moments where another pair of hands could have been beneficial. Definitely have an electric screwdriver at hand, it not only speeds up the process but it will make sure everything is screwed in tightly. The downsides were that the parts were not smooth and I had to sand the whole Pergola down after completion and got lots of splinters during the assembly. Also, there are pre-drilled holes to help guide you on where the parts fit together, some of these holes make no sense and didn't line up properly. I was able to make adjustments as needed. If you're not confident with D.I.Y you may not feel comfortable doing this (hopefully the manufacturers should look closer into this)But all in all I LOVE it. The question now is... to paint or not to paint :-)
