Dasbecan 8" Touch Digitizer LCD Screen Radio Compatible with 2020 2021 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Replaces 8740A103 8740A098

Like many others that have the touchscreen issues on the Mitzu Outlander, I did not want to pay 3k for a new radio. I got the Digitizer and LCD combo thinking it would be easier rather then just getting the Digitizer alone. I still needed to use a heat gun to separate the the Digitizer from the mounting bracket and again to separate from the plastic housing. It was easy but take your time. I cracked the old digitizer but did not reallu care. It was not as simple as I thought but still got it all done and working. Like other reviews I was not able to use the thin screen bracket due to the Digitizer and LCD being already join and I was not going to separate them. I just 3M-ed the back of the LCD to the plastic housing and the reassembled. All works and looks great. It almost seems more crisp and bright as the old seemed to be slightly hazy. There are several YouTube videos to follow along with. Well worth the few dollar and 2 hours of time.

This item is as described & works as it is intended. Having the touch screen attached to the LCD is beneficial HOWEVER; In my 2020 Outander the unit has a metal bracket that is adhered to the screen between the LCD. I was able to install this and did so by eliminating use of the metal bracket which I hope does not result in lack of support or time. Words of caution; this is NOT a task that is simple. If you do not have the proper tools (precision screw drivers, exacto knives, needle nose pliers, heat gun & thin 3m tape or proper glue) & patience do not try this on your own.

Had this installed by a professional in my 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander GT. Took them 2.5 hours to install at $90/hour. So it cost me the price of this part and $250 for installation. Worth it because Mitsubishi wanted to replace the whole head unit for $2500.

My previous screen went out in my car due to a digitizer malfunction. A lot of review that I read said that the screens they ordered, didn’t work with their backup cameras and/or were inoperable with their car. This works exactly like the previous screen! Everything is the exact same and it works with all of my car features (backup camera, touchscreen, apple car play)! The second day, it had a weird split screen and only half of the screen worked but Google says all you have to do is unconnected your battery and reconnect to “restart” your electronics and that fixed the issue! 10/10 recommend.

This looks just like the factory one that came with my SUV. And with the purchase of a few inexpensive tools my son was able to install it for me pretty quickly. And it looks and operates just like the original.
