So far so good with this RH Cube. The picture is great and it fits well in my hands. The speakers are pretty good, and loud at full volume. Came preloaded with lots of great games from SEGA systems and 80s-90s arcade consoles. It does NOT come preloaded with any Nintendo ROMs. You have to add those yourself, though it's really easy to do. Also a lot of Nintendo games had SEGA variants (Contra, most of the movie games, Final Fantasy etc), but you're on you're own for anything Mario or Zelda. Also be aware the even though it has a USB-C plug you'll need to use an old 1.5A wall cube or else you'll fry the battery. That's not well spelled out in the instructions. Betting that most reviewers with power problems didn't catch that.

Amazing Retro Handheld! Best so far

All around decent device for playing retro games up to some PS1 & N64. Feels good in the hands once you get use to holding it, as a grown adult it probably wouldn't have been bad if it was roughly 30% larger, but it doesn't cramp my hands. Screen looks good. Device did have some body blemishes out of the box... Find a way to try before you buy, but I think it's worth.

While I was researching the market for these, I was frustrated because there a different sets of reviews for each vendor who is selling these on Amazon. I'm usually uncomfortable with devices that have low numbers of reviews. All of these things made me conclude that the Anbernic devices are low quality. Then I did a deep dive on YouTube. The wide adoption of raspberry pi for embedded computing needs has resulted in commoditized game boys with mature, quality, open source feature sets, and this realization couldn't make me happier. Other reviews are going to say stay away unless you know how to tinker with emulator and linux stuff. I say if you don't know how to look up and follow YouTube tutorials, then you are failing at life. Seriously, this unit is great for first generation 3D gaming and I'm proud to say that I'm going to spend lots of free time using it.

Mine broke after a few uses. Will not turn on. Return window has passed so out of luck. Definitely not worth it. Buy somewhere else

The 64GB card with ROMS that came with this device was partitioned using an MBR table, it also wasn't FAT32. Once repartitioned to GPT/FAT32 it worked, but inserting it into the device without this caused the device to become extremely latent and unstable. That's a big problem. I was able to solve it because I have expertise in data partitioning, but many users will not have this knowledge. Would be 4-5 stars without this problem.
