It has a palm vein scanner that is fast and cool.My wife was happy when we got it, and it helped a lot at home—no more losing keys! The lock has a long battery life, locks automatically, and I can control it from my phone or with Alexa. It is also waterproof and bit heavy which speaks about its build quality. Design looks rich.If you want a smart lock, I recommend this one. You will like it!

The TCL D1 Pro Smart Lock has completely changed my approach to home security. The Lock is Awesome and is loaded with features. The Palm Vein recognition is great and we were surprised at its ability to recognize our Palms from a pretty fair distance from the Lock. One thing that was VERY DISAPPOINTING was the “SMART LIFE” App Integration. The Lock worked Flawlessly until I added it to my “SMART LIFE” App. The App worked fine when controlling the Lock Functions from my IPhone 14 Pro Max but when I physically went back to the Lock, after adding it to the App, for some strange reason, the Lock no longer worked. It was as if the “Smart Life” App caused the Lock to completely “Brick” (Nothing worked!). To prove my point I completely removed the Lock from the App and all of a sudden the Lock went back to functioning correctly. The “Smart Life” app coding caused the Lock to Malfunction, and yes, my Wi-Fi was working perfectly. PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE WITH “SMART LIFE” INTEGRATION and it will be a PERFECT “5 Stars.”

While the lock works well most of the time, there are occasional glitches where it doesn't recognize my palm right away, which can be frustrating, especially when I'm in a hurry.Setting it up required quite a bit of patience—initially, it took me a while to get the palm recognition to work consistently. The app is decent, but I found it a bit laggy at times, and there were moments when it disconnected from Wi-Fi without any warning.I do appreciate the upgraded rechargeable battery and the fact that it’s waterproof. The overall design is modern and adds a neat touch to my door. I think with some software updates and refinements, it could be a stellar product. For now, it's functional, but it could be better.I can easily share access with family, friends, or service people by sending them a unique eKey or access code, which is perfect when I’m not home. You can also set time-limited access for added security, so no more worrying about who has access when. It’s super easy to manage up to 50 codes and view the lock history in real-time. The notifications I receive through the app when the lock is accessed are very reassuring. Yeah, no one can get in my house now without me knowing!! This lock integrates seamlessly with other smart home systems like Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings, which makes automation super easy. For example, I’ve set up an automation where my lights turn on automatically when I unlock the door—such a convenient feature and nice when it's super dark outside! The auto-lock and auto-unlock functions are fantastic as well. The door sensor ensures that the door locks itself if I forget to do so, and it automatically unlocks when I approach with my smartphone in my pocket.So far I am very happy with this smart lock. It was easy to install and looks very slick. Have had so many smart locks, some of them were from smaller brand and some of them were from big brand like Schlage (supposed to be one of the best, but not really). They all had half of the features but twice more expensive. I read some of the feedbacks on the app before purchasing this lock, they all complained about it. I personally think it’s very user friendly and fast. Overall I am very happy that I got it. Still need to see how is the battery life and etc.love it, The pattern of the numbers in the circles is randomized and changed with each touch therefore someone couldn’t stand over your shoulder and watch and memorize the pattern you entered or the numbers because they change randomly, each family member has their own passcode and you can assign passcodes for a one time use or a day or week to guests, I have four fingerprint IDs installed on my lock and you can also use your passcode if you so chose. It auto re-locks after you’ve closed the door approximately 15 seconds later. (That may be a setting you can change, I don’t remember) Previously I had a lock with fixed button numbers and over time, the repetitive use of the shared code wore down those numbers enough that it was easily guessed which numbers were used in the code, one of the reasons why I switched to this lock.

I had a fingerprint reader lock but both my son and wife have very faint fingerprints so can't reliably get the lock to work. It also won't read my print when my hands are wet. In my wife's case, her fingerprint is so bad that even top end readers on Apple and Samsung devices can't read it. This lock solves the problem, and it works reliably even with my 8 y.o. son's little palm. So yes, the palm reader works, and works surprisingly well.The rest of the lock is pretty standard smart lock stuff, with the built in Wi-Fi a nice touch. I saw several reviewers complain about the app, but I already use the Tuyab smart app for smart switches in my home, so I liked not having to install yet another app. I find the pairing and set up process pretty straightforward and simple. Notifications to my phone work without problems, but I wished the notification would say which palm was used to open the lock.Overall, if you want a touchless smart lock, and don't need additional features like cameras, this work really well at a very good price.
