They aren't silk-dome but hey, get you a decent crossover set up and these still sound great for the price!

Small size, great sound, no sizzle, no shrill, lower crossover points, excellent packaging Not so good: no gasket? What is up with that! Parts Express high shipping costs has always confused me too. No Prime either (for returns, shipping, etc).

I bought this to replace the blown tweeter in my Infinity Alpha 20 bookshelf speaker. This was the only tweeter I could find to fit in the hole in the speaker box. When I took the old one out I thought it didn't look very high quality, and this Dayton looks at leas as well made. Unfortunately, the same can not be said of the sound. The Infinity driver sounds much better - slightly louder and way better frequency response. With this Dayton installed in one box and the other box still with an original Infinity tweeter when I hit both speaker boxes with white noise (level calibration from my receiver) I head a noticeable difference in the frequency response. The box with the Dayton is definitely lacking in the highs compared to the other speaker box. Like I said, it's hard to find a tweeter that will fit into the box without cutting it up. 3 stars because it is at least fairly inexpensive.

Best soft dome tweeter for the money anywhere! I crossed them over to a pr. of Dayton 5 1/2 Classic woofers @ 2200 Hz. w/ a 2 nd. order network and and they play that low w/ no artifacts. Very sweet w/ a good amount of sparkle for soft domes.
