This item is pathetic and built extremely cheap. I would not recommend it to anybody. Buying a $150 bike from Bunnings would be a much better choice. My bike I purchased failed (belt broke) just outside of a year and the seller has shown no signs of helping me to get it repaired. Pathetic seller and pathetic product. DO NOT BUY!!!

The bike is great it's small quiet and does what you need. Sadly it's advertised as being compatible with kinomap and after trying for ages to get it to work I contacted kinomap. It does link to the bike via Bluetooth but there's no resistance at all. Kinomap have replied telling me that vanswe does not work on thier ap. You can connect via FTMS and follow the maps but that's it no resistance no difference whether on flat ground or on a hill. Kinomap said they will contact vanswe and see if they want adding to the compatibility list but have said the best thing when buying a bike is to check on the kinomap site first and look at the list of compatible makes. Sadly we did that after and its not on there. It's also not on the list of compatible zwift list either. But i havent triws yo connect it to that one 🤷‍♀️So I guess we will watch the scenery and increase the resistance ourselves. It's put a real downer on the bike to be honest because it is a great little bike and fits all of us here from 5' to my husband over 6' and takes the weight that was needed. If you're buying this to use in conjunction with one of the aps then look into it deeper first. Otherwise buy and enjoy 😊

I was skeptical about this item due to the low price. However, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and relative ease of assembly. Assembly: It took me about 90 minutes to assembly, 30 of which involved unwrapping the yards of tape, plastic, and styrofoam in which the bike is packed. The bike comes with a box wrench and combo Allen wrench/screwdriver needed for assembly. The most important tool for assembly however is a box cutter to open the box and free the pieces. The actual assembly was easy--in the first step, make sure to attach the two base pieces in the correct place. The one with wheels goes on the front with the wheels facing forward and slightly down. Bike: Once assembled, the bike is VERY sturdy and balanced. No movement front-to-back or side-to-side. There is a knob at the bottom of the frame below the seat that can be adjusted so there are five contact points to anchor the bike. You can easily move it by lifting the rear of the bike and using the small rollers on the front. This might be tougher on carpet as opposed to a smooth surface. The only flimsy part of the bike is the plastic monitor. The edge on top of the monitor fits a cell phone, Kindle, or tablet. It is not deep enough for a book. The footprint of the bike is great for a small space. I would guess you need a space about 3' x 5' to use the bike; 2' x 5' when it is not in use. Use: This bike is very quiet, as advertised. I use a fitness tracker so I have not connected the monitor to the apps noted in the instructions. I used the monitor to gauge speed. The resistance adjustment is pretty easy to access while riding and can be adjusted while you ride. One caution is that this is not a bike for someone six feet or taller. I am about 5' 9" in workout shoes, and there is only a couple of inches left to adjust the seat for someone taller. The seat is comfortable. The back rest is also comfortable, but gets warm. A mesh back rest would be a better design. Conclusion: I highly recommend this bike if you need a low-cost, high-quality recumbent bike, do not have much space, and want something quiet to operate. EDIT--July 2026. After working fine for several months, the display stopped working. The pulse would register, but not time, distance, or calories, and the display would shut off after two or three minutes. I contacted the seller via Amazon, and they promptly sent a replacement display board. When that did not address the issue, the seller worked with me over several days to identify the problem. The support team sent a replacement sensor wire and the tools necessary to remove one of the pedals to replace the sensor wire. In about 30 minutes, I disassembled a portion of the bike, replaced the wire, and reassembled the bike. The display now works perfectly. It is a rare thing now days for a company to stand by its product, especially a year after the original purchase.

With so many recumbent bike choices on line, it was a task to compare features. I was glad I took the time to find the Vanswe. With the weight range, up to 380 lbs, I felt that the bike had to be very sturdy. It was also in a price range that made sense. Since it arrived, I could not be more impressed with the bike and the tech support. The bike came in a heavy duty carton with several nylon straps to prevent damage and easy opening. Each component had its own foam slot. Assembly instructions were great and even included an IPB so you could see every part on the bike. In less than an hour, I was riding the bike and was amazed that it made no noise at all. When deciding on this bike, I was also drawn to the seat size and thickness. The seat and backrest are great. Everything has worked perfectly. I however, cannot speak to the Bluetooth process as I do not have a smartphone. I called to register the bike and claim the extra gift that was offered. Their phone answered right away and I got to talk to a live person. Had a question about the seat rail locking lever and got the answer right away. I also asked about the peddle strap that was pictured on the website. Both extra gift and straps with peddles arrived in a few days. I have received two calls from Vanswe. The first was to ask how I was doing with the bike and did I have any questions. The second was to assure that the gift and peddles had arrived. Having bought hundreds for item on the internet, I can’t remember any vendor calling after the purchase to see how I was doing. This speaks volumes as to the quality of support. Seeing that our Medicare advantage programs will pay the entire cost of the bike, my wife will be ordering a second bike soon.

I purchased the red and black version from the manufacturer for about $220 with tax and it arrived in just a few days. It was one of the returned bikes rather than brand new, to save a few dollars, but this bike had never been out of the box and as far as that goes that option is a good way to save $30+ from the start. The box is a bit heavy and the packaging is very secure. Lots of tape and Styrofoam, and a bit of frustration getting all the parts out of it, but after that it really isn't that bad. I didn't have a ton of room to set up and lay everything out in a very organized manner, and I was watching TV while I did it and other than one or two 'hold on, do what now?' moments with the instructions I would say it was a breeze to put together. This is my first time putting together a bike and it took me probably 45 minutes or so, maybe a touch more, but the hardest part is getting it out of the box. Assembly is honestly not that bad and I would say that just about anyone could do the job solo. And as for the recumbent bike's quality . . . I am right around 6'2 and a big guy, so I was concerned whether the bike would hold up with my big butt pedaling away day after day. But upon using it I am pleased to say that I do think this bike will hold up for at least a few years and it is pretty comfortable. My last bike was an upright model and it was not only very uncomfortable but in very bad shape, so I decided to try something new with this recumbent. Have never used one until today, and it is a whole new world of comfort compared to an upright. I have back issues so this bike is a godsend for me, as I can burn a few calories and not suffer too much in the process. I don't care about the pulse readouts or any of the Bluetooth features, the various programming you can employ with this bike so I don't know how well that stuff works. When I ride I just wanna know the time, distance and maybe the calories. It has a large readout and uses two AA batteries. It also has a place to put your phone or tablet so you can watch videos, but my bike is right in front of my TV anyway so I don't think I will be needing that feature. The seat and backrest are comfortable but I did add my own cushion for extra comfort and something to protect the back rest from sweat. Other reviewers mention their height being an issue. At my height I am perfectly comfortable but I could see someone two or three inches taller probably not being 100% satisfied with it. It doesn't take up a ton of space and seems to be pretty well made. While I always think the price could have been lower for most things, I do think this bike is a good value and I do recommend it, even for the bigger guys. Best bike I have ever had. I actually still have a spare upright bike that I could be using, but after trying this out I don't think I will ever want anything other than a recumbent bike now. Too comfortable! Forget other bikes. This recumbent has made a huge difference in my level of back pain while riding. Buy it!
