On arrival, my first impression of the Black Tourmaline Pendant Necklace was that it looked very much as expected – a piece of black tourmaline shaped into a point and set into a silver-tone cap, supplied with an 18" chain. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear and sits quite high on the chest, which works well with open collars or layered styling. On closer inspection, however, the finer details become more noticeable. The cap (bezel) isn’t perfectly formed to the exact shape of the stone, leaving a visible gap around the top. It appears likely that adhesive is doing most of the work in securing the pendant. It doesn’t feel fragile as such, but the finish isn’t as refined as the listing description might lead you to expect. The tourmaline itself is described as “polished to perfection,” but the piece I received retains a fairly rough texture with visible surface marks and natural imperfections that catch the light. To be fair, this does emphasise the stone’s natural character and uniqueness, and some people will actually prefer that raw, organic look. However, if you’re expecting a highly polished, glossy finish similar to the promotional images, you may find it a little different in reality. That said, at £12.96 this is not positioned as a premium jewellery item, and viewed in that context it represents decent value. You are getting a genuine black tourmaline pendant with an attractive, versatile design that works for everyday wear and has the added appeal of the stone’s protective and grounding associations. Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable piece of black tourmaline jewellery with a natural aesthetic, this is a nice option and comfortable to wear. Just set expectations appropriately regarding the level of polish and finishing, and you’re unlikely to be disappointed.

This is such a gorgeous item but in less than 2 weeks the chain has broken, so disappointed 😞

KRISTALGLOBE black tourmaline pendant. This was on sale for £12.96 when I got it. It currently has a 5% voucher available to come off the price. I opted for the version with the 18 inch silver 925 chain. It looks good. I’ve taken pictures to show the shape of the black tourmaline pendant from the bottom, it has three curved sides and ends in a point. The cap on the pendant looks good and fits securely onto it, and is a good match for the chain. The piece of tourmaline doesn’t look polished and well refined. It almost looks cloudy, maybe like it has a slight coating on it, but it doesn’t, even rubbing it on cloth doesn’t remove anything. Then you can see marks on it from the photos I’ve taken. You don’t seem them so much normally, the flash on the camera really brings them out. All in all it does look good, a nice piece of jewellery for the money, just maybe needed a little more finishing to get a better result, but you won’t notice it from a distance. It comes in a brown padded envelope and then in an organza bag.

Quite what I was searching for, it is a gift and it is well appreciated and has been already worn, looks great and is a very protective stone.

Delighted with them. Lovely quality. One was a gift and one for myself to wear. Nicely packaged. I will be using this company again.

On receipt of receiving I loved it but wore it once and lost the ‘gem’ as it had fallen out of the holder leaving me very disappointed
