sturdy
My old door catches were cracking as they were plastic. Found these and used as replacements and no problems so far. Watch the sizes for these replacements and make sure they fit your old ones and you won't have a problem with installation. Screw holes were in the same place so easy to mount after scraping off the old silicone caulk. Recaulk after installation to prevent water intrusion.

well made product
I ordered this to try to replace the plastic baggage clips. Even though this product is made well and I wished it would have worked for my vehicle it did not because it did not line up with the holes and also where it would hold the baggage compartment open it didn't work right for the doors on my camper van but it was still a good product it just didn't work for me.

They work great
Like everyone else said the work great and look good when you first install them but they will just start rusting out of no where on a day it rains or when you wash your rv.

They do the job
These door catches have 2 holes spaced about 3/4" apart. If you are a stickler for detail, you should check to make sure the catches you are replacing have similar holes and spacing. I am borrowing my son's RV, so I'm not an expert, but I replaced 5 plastic catches with these without having to drill any additional holes. Some of the original catches had 2 holes and some had 3. I don't know if that's typical. The holes on these catches are quite large so I was able to attach them with the provided screws by inserting the screws off center in the large holes. Overall, I think these are a good replacement for the original cheapo plastic ones. I don't know how they'll hold up in the weather, but they look like they are stainless steel so they probably won't rust. Not sure about the springs.

Two mounting hole .75” spacing.
We bought a used travel trailer and all three latches needed to be replaced. The holes on these did not match the existing holes in the RV (it seems very few things in RV’s are standardized) so rather than add a hole to the RV I chose to drill a hole in the latch to match the ones already in the RV. The latches came with screws that would have been fine in a new installation but were a little thinner than my original screws so I used the old ones. There are no gaskets (there weren’t any on the originals either) so I added a tiny bit of silicone before installing the latches.I’m very happy with the way they turned out and I like the chrome better than the original plastic ones. They seem very solid and hold the hatch door securely.
