AC sparks and burns
I noticed when I first got it that the power cable I used was making a sparking sound, so I immediately switched it with another one, but the issue continued, then I tried again and it seem to stop for a while, but then started making sparking noises. MY MISTAKE was that I needed my laptop and couldnt afford to be without it for a while, so I just kept adjusting it to stop the spark and make it charge, but this morning, I could smell electrical burning coming from it. I've barely had it for more than a couple of months and its fried. Never again.

Pure garbage and dangerous to boot.
Can I give a negative star review?Paired with an I7 based 2017 Alienware 17’ R4 laptop. Worked for about 20 minutes. I came back from using the toilet to find it smoking. As I moved to unplug it, it made popping noises and stopped working.

Stopped working in two days
My original charger broke and i was not willing to pay full price for a new one. It doesn't work badly at all but charges noticeably slower and the adapter doesn't stay plugged in well. If you still have the part that plugs into the wall from the original it works much better but not by a lotUpdate: it stopped working about 3 days in

Dangerous Item
We have bought two of these over the last 18 months. The first one just stopped working, the second one caught fire while being used with my Alienware computer which it said it was supposed to work with. The adapter block was kept off the ground at all times and on my desk away from an enclosed space and had plenty of ventilation. There was no damage to the AC adapter either. It caught fire where the removable plug entered the transformer block.

kinda works
The charger does work, but the wall part of the charger doesn't stick into the actual battery pack and easily dislodges which will obviously cause the computer to stop charging. For the value, it's cool, and it does work, as long as you don't move the charger even a 1/4 of an inch.Update: Not even 2 months later, the charger has broken after trying to plug it in again. Not worth the funds

Better than OEM
Very good alternative over the OEM charger. I have had it for months now and I haven't ran into any issues. The OEM version had an issue where the power cord would slip out of the brick, but with this replacement I have yet to experience that issue. 5 stars

Works on alienware r4 17'
Feels cheaper than the original alienware one but it does work.It is not better than OEM ignore people who say such a stupid thing like that.Gets very hot so dont leave on carpet.

So far so good
We bought this a few months back when my husband Alienware desktop suddenly stopped working. Did some research and asked some friends to find out it was most likely the power adapter. Researched the cost for a dell adapter and was not wanting to pay the price so we further researched and came across this adapter. It works great and the price was much more on point.
