What sets the Nitecore HC65 UHE apart from other headlamps? How does it compare to the previous HC60 or HC65 headlamp?

The innovative 8-LED matrix offers 2000 lumens beam for 100+ degrees angle from a 1.65-inch surface, a notable improvement over single-point LED, providing better visibility in a broader range, especially useful in outdoor or dark environments.

How to operate the headlamp? is it easy to use?

The HC65 UHE has two distinctive switch buttons for easy operation. Long press the large Power button to power on/off the main light Tap the Power button to change brightness Double Tap the Power button to activate the 2000 lumens burst mode

What is the red light or the Ultra-low light for? Can I turn them on without going through all the other settings?

Both light sources are commonly used for preserving night vision. When the light is off, long press the Mode Button for 1 second to turn on the auxiliary red light directly, or double tap the Power Button to turn on the Ultra-low light directly.

The headlamp flashes but does not turn on when I tap the button. Is it the LOCKOUT mode? What do we use it for?

LOCKOUT is a feature designed to prevent the unit from accidental activation while it's stored in your bag or pocket. To enable or disable the LOCKOUT, press and hold both the 'Power' and 'Mode' buttons at the same time for a duration of 2 seconds.

Can you still use the HC65 UHE when it's been charged? What is the extra strap in the box for?

The HC65 UHE charges through its built-in USB-C port with internal waterproofing design. The light is fully functional when it is being charged. The top strap is totally optional and not required to wear the headlamp.
