I Truly Like Everything About It
It is very satisfying to find a manufacturer who genuinely cares about all aspects of their product. This is my first haircutting kit and I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. To start off with, I am very particular about packaging, and it is evident that Wahl also cares about this. The clipper comes in a sturdy, cleanly branded cardboard box sealed with a Wahl sticker, so you know that it is new. Inside is the well-designed, functional plastic carrying case holding the easy-to-read instructions, the clipper, attachments, cleaning brushes and oil, two combs, and a pair of scissors that work very well. I will continue to keep the clipper and all accessories inside the plastic carrying case that I will put back in the sturdy, rectangular-shaped box after each use to keep everything together and for ease of storage. They advertised this model as being quiet, which is one of the main reasons I selected it. And it is in fact noticeably quiet. I received this product yesterday and we used it today. This was my first ever home haircut and the first time my wife has used a clipper. Its ergonomic design, solid build, and balanced weight clearly prove it is high quality. It was a lot easier to use than either of us thought it would be. And I was very satisfied with the outcome! We errored on the side of caution and decided to use only the #8 attachment and scissors to start with. That is all we needed! Wahl, thank you for taking pride in your products! I highly recommend this Wahl Clipper kit. Extremely high quality at a very reasonable price.

Serious Upgrade to Home Cut
This I've been using a Wahl Color Pro clipper for about 8 years now, and while I've always liked it I didn't always treat it right. Over the last few years I debated upgrading but didn't feel like anything else would do me better, but having a lighter more compact hair clipper REALLY did!I have got really small hands (children's gloves for around age 10 usually fit me perfectly) and do my own hair cuts. Having something that fit better in my hand gave me a lot more control over what I was doing and didn't tire my hand or arm out as quickly as my previous clipper did, which is saying something consider each haircut takes me at least 30 mins. What can I say, I work slowly after one too many accidents! These clippers were quieter, lighter, and cut more smoothly than my poor abused color pro did. It really made this the easiest and best haircut I think I've ever done.Below are the issues I found and the things I loved.CONS:1. Corded - a cordless would be better2. Can't operate ON/OFF switch one handed3. Container for set is cheap and thin plastic, I can tell it will break at the hingePROS:1. Small enough that anyone could use it2. Lightweight enough to not cause strain while using3. QUIET and powerful, no trade off between them4. Great assortment of guides, combs, and brushes5. Included scissors fit well in hand and were wonderfully sharp

Get The At Home Clipper
I've cut my dense, coily mess of a hair several times along with edging and these still cut like a champ. This clipper is sharp and easy to hold, and the taper lever stays put! The comb attachments are strong and clip on just right and tight. The blades also remain even. I've bought other pairs only for them to dull out and shag up my hair giving it an unkept look after only a few uses (kept one of these bummers for unmentionable use since that's all they're good for now). And the blades of the other clippers somehow became uneven and I had to keep adjusting. With model 79467 tho, no shag or pulled look and a very sharp/clean and even look. I have yet to use these to give myself a fade like when I used the other clippers, so can't say how they hold up against doing that; my hair has destroyed other clippers, I promise you lol. But I think if I keep this clipper properly by oiling, it'll probably still cut like a champ. I dont plan to cut my hair that far anytime soon, so I can't speak on it. But so far it has done the style I am doing for my head now (just not cutting as much hair all at once) and I'm very satisfied with these. They are a bit noisy but fades out once you focus; just cut with music on for a therapeutic cutting. Overall great value and quality for the price and hope it stays that way.

Wahl Hair Clippers
My husband and son both cut their hair with these clippers frequently. Well made for the price and all the accessories you get with the clippers.

Real good clippers with pivot motor
Hopefully these continue to perform well. I initially tried the Wahl Multi-Purpose that I got from a large retailer when the pandemic shutdown started. That one worked real well at first, but the detachable blade became loose and wouldn't stay on properly so I had to return and search for another option. The Wahl Self Cut Pro is a similar size, but with a different motor and a taper lever added. The Multi-Purpose has a rotary motor which is fast and cut on the first pass while the Self Cut Pro has a pivot motor that requires more than one pass to get the same result. Pivot motors are powerful but move the blades slower than a rotary motor, and better than standard magnetic clipper motors. I found that an advantage with the Self Cut Pro because while it required a few passes to cut over one spot, it also allowed blending or correcting mistakes to be easier since you don't cut all the hair on the first pass. This is my personal preference but may not be what you like. Research clipper motor types and buy a set of clippers based on your preference since the motor is what basically differentiates most clippers. The Self Cut Pro was powerful enough so that did not snag or pull my hair and had no trouble making a clean cut with a few passes. Just understand that it likely won't cut everything on the first pass and you should be fine. The ergonomics are real good since it is fairly small and it is easy to maneuver when cutting your own hair. Not much vibration and motor is rather quiet compared to other clippers I've experienced. The only drawbacks I found were minor in my opinion. The industrial strength cord is long but somewhat awkward. It is thicker than my vacuum cleaner cord so not sure what the reason is for that. The case is not very sturdy, very lightweight plastic. I'm probably going to shift to some other sort of storage container eventually. Otherwise, really good clippers.

Quiet, gentle and efficient.
I have been using clippers to cut my thinning hair for years now. I usually take my hair down to about 1/4 inch, not down to zero. In the past, I have used the Wahl Peanut, the Remington Short Cut, and the Oster Model 10.The Wahl Peanut was great, but it is very noisy and I found some of the comb guards to be sharp. Since I have a sensitive scalp, I filed the points down, but it wasn't ideal (even if it cut very well). The Remington Short Cut was wider and quiet, but my experience has been that cordless clippers just don't have much power. Even though my hair is thin, the Short Cut still managed to pull, so I stopped using it. As for the Oster, while it cut well enough, it was too heavy and, probably because I am an amateur, I found it really cumbersome. I was constantly worried about banging my scalp with it.I feel like Goldilocks saying this, but it is true: this Wahl is just right. It really is quiet; that is not a lie. It cuts really well (no pulling, no scratching the scalp). And the size is perfect (bigger than the Peanut, but smaller and lighter than the Oster).Oddly, it seems to me that my hair feels smoother and softer after using this. Sometimes, with the other clippers, my hair felt like velcro after a cut. Not so with this.In short, this Wahl works exactly as advertised. I highly recommend it, especially if you have a sensitive scalp as I do.

One of the best personal hair clippers on the market
I only purchased these because it happened to be the most economical clipper that came with a lever and the often-omitted 1-1/2 guard. But I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and performance of it, especially at this price point. The smaller form factor gives you a lot more control and nuance when blending fades on your own head; a bigger clipper will cut more and thus be faster, but increase the chance of a mistake. The blades are sharp and cut close out of the box. The motor has this bassy low-end rumbling sound, but it's not very loud and not at all annoying. Perhaps most importantly is that it does not get hot to the touch even during long sessions. The downsides? There is only one that I can think of. The wire to plug it in is thick and doesn't always lend itself to being easy to maneuver; you might have to reposition it at times to get it out of the way -- the other side of this is that the machine can draw more power from the wall without heating up the wire or the motor.

This is the greatest clipper set ever made. It is the work of the gods.
Just incredible performance.Glides through even thick hair with ease and evenly cuts whole sections with 1 pass.I cut the sides of my head to a 0, and it's so perfectly uniform even at that length. It only took one pass to get that length, and my hair grows very thick. The ergonomics on this thing are perfect as well. You can cut from any angle, anywhere around your head, and it remains easy to hold.I never felt I couldn't get to part of my hair because I couldn't reach.I used to use a cheaper set of consumer clippers, which took forever to get through my relatively thick hair.It would take me at least an hour to cut my hair, doing multiple passes over sections that it couldn't get through quickly.Even once I was done it wasn't very even, it was hard to make clean lines, and I couldn't get it as short as I wanted, it would just leave hair behind even without a guard. Now I can cut my hair in minutes, so much more evenly and easily. If you cut your own hair, you need these clippers.Don't even think about anything else.It will change your life.
