I was looking for a quality straw dispenser for my home, but all I could find in stores were cheap plastic ones that were an eyesore. So as usual, I jumped on Amazon and found this nice glass one pretty quickly. It's exactly what I had been looking for. Simple yet classy looking, and the glass is super thick and crystal clear so it's a nice addition to our kitchen. It can hold a nice big handful of straws, just don't overload it or they will spill over the metal holder and it won't slide up as easily. The dispenser originally had a large sticker across the glass that worried me a little, but it actually peeled off super quickly without leaving any sticky residue so that made me super happy. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality straw dispenser for a decent price.

This straw holder is awesome, and is a steal at it's current price of $15. The glass is thick and durable. It is heavier than you would expect and would be difficult to accidentally tip over, which is a plus. Every once in a blue moon a straw falls to the side of the holder, but's not bothersome or difficult to retrieve.Plus it came with straws! I'm sure this costs the company just pennies to include, but it's a super nice touch, and you get to break it out with those classic red and white straws right out of the box.Highly recommend! A straw holder really gives your kitchen/bar/dining room/whatever a nice touch. The thing is functional and aesthetically pleasing - what more could you want?

Love this straw dispenser!!! It has a neat Retro look, is very sturdy glass with a chrome lid! Super easy to use and comes with 65 plastic straws. It does have sticky tape on part of the lid and glass that holds the lid down during shipment, I took some Avon skin so soft to remove the residue and it removed it nicely. The straws that come with it are 8 1/4 inches long. It is stamped with Made in Taiwan on the bottom. Super happy to find this!

We were always losing our straw box in the pantry, but now that we have a stylish way to store them, they are never lost! We all love this straw holder. It's nice and sturdy and has put up with a bit of abuse and doesn't show any signs of wear. It's a nice heavy glass container so it's stable. Plus if it were to fall over, I don't think it would break as it's pretty thick glass. When you load the straws in, you have to take just a little care to make sure they go in the right spot and not outside of the bottom dish part, but it's not been a problem. There is even a little rectangular area in the middle on one side where the glass is smooth that you can put a label on if you want. It's about 1.5 " high by 5 " wide. I haven't done it yet, but I think I'll get some chalkboard labels from Michael's and put our family's name on it, just for fun.

I was so frustrated with removing the label on this dispenser that I had to wait a couple of days before reviewing it so I wouldn't give it one star from spite. I don't understand why manufacturers use labels that are difficult to remove, but they need to stop doing this. It took me almost a half-hour to get that label off. Completely unnecessary.The glass dispenser itself is heavy and made of thick glass which will withstand a good amount of use. The metal insert holds a nice number of straws. They have to be normal-sized straws; longer straws like you get from Sbux will not fit, theyre about three inches too tall.The metal insert is coated in chrome, and I will be hand-washing this when necessary and drying it carefully, because that chrome paint looks like it will flake off very easily. That's why I deducted one star. I've purchased items with chrome paint that looked exactly like this and no matter how careful you are, it will begin to flake if you use or clean the item too much.I'll just deal with it if/when it comes. It's a shame, though, and I do hope I'm wrong, because otherwise, this dispenser is perfect. Just make the label easy to remove and maybe use a higher-quality chrome finish and it would be five stars with a bullet.I'm very satisfied in spite of the grumpy review.

Glass is heavy and good quality. This will not fit larger reusable straws that go with some cups, so we unscrewed the plunger/lifter part and just reach in for the straws. If you use standard plastic straws or something of equivalent size, it will work just fine! Very retro and clean appearance, which is nice since it sits out on the counter at our house.

Real, real nice straw dispenser. Other reviewers were correct about the size of the straws that will fit into this. They can't be any more than 8 1/2 inches long to be able to fit into there and dispense properly. This worked out perfectly for me since I had just purchased two 8-packs of RawNori's "Stainless Steel Wide Smoothie Straws" (along with straw cleaners) which happened to be 8 1/2" long along with a 12-pack of RawNori's bent "Reusable Straws - Stainless Steel Drinking" straws which happened to be an 8-inch length. Both work perfectly in this dispenser and simply look fabulous in there since the stainless steel matches the chrome top and shines wonderfully through the glass dispenser, so much nicer looking than some cheap plastic multi-color garbage straws that I wouldn't want touching my lips anyhow. And so much classier, too. Go for it. You won't regret it. And you'll never buy another straw again.
