High Protein Bars - 0g of Sugar, Low Carb, Gluten Free - 28g of Protein, 150 Calories - On-The-Go Snack - Fudge Brownie Flavor, Pack of 12

I've tried David's cinnamon bun bars (FANTASTIC, by the way), so when I was reading the reviews on the other bars I noted what was being said about the Fudge Brownie flavor. I have to agree with what they said about how most other brownie flavored protein bars are a bit dry, not very chocolatey flavored and crumbly....nothing like a brownie....which is why after my first try with other brands, I just quit. If I'm going to treat myself, I want it to be a TREAT, not a "settlement"! I also noted in those reviews what they said about David's Fudge Brownie bars -- that they were actually moist and really did remind them of a brownie -- so, I decided to try them. Just got my box today and had to have one. All I can say is holy guacamole, Batman!!! These things are good!!! Really good!! They actually remind me of the brownies from a local bakery -- not as mushy as my homemade ones, but I've NEVER known anyone to get close to mine. They really are moist, not dry, and they do make you feel like you're biting into a brownie with nuts! The flavor is really good...and I don't mean "diet food" good....I mean you could give one to a kid and they'd be MORE than happy with it. Might even ask for a glass of milk to dunk it in! The flavor is very chocolaty, but not overly sweet (it won't make you're teeth hurt); and, with only 150 calories while giving you a whopping 28 grams of protein you really just can't beat it! Heaven knows how they did it, or how much research and development they had to go through to come up with it, but whatever it was....it was well worth it to those of us on the purchasing end. Wish they had had these back when I was growing up. You might think of it as a bit pricey for a snack for kids, but for the amount of protein and positive benefits it really is a good option. One of these bars and a cup of tea or coffee (a warm beverage) and you'll stay full for quite a while. Can't wait to tell my friends as, being a person of "a certain age", we tend to be short on our protein consumption regularly. So many seniors drink Ensure (suggested by their physicians -- one bottle has 220 calories, 15 grams of SUGAR, and only 9 grams of protein). These bars have that beat in every category, with TRIPLE the amount of protein! Like I said, can't wait to spread the news.

After doing my fair share of research on protein bars, I found this was, hands down the best. Best quality protein. Lowest sugar. Tastiest. I've tried the assorted box and this time fudge brownie. Does it taste exactly like a real fudge brownie, no. But there are some times I will eat it as a dessert substitute I don't need to feel guilty about. At 150 calories and low fat, it's pretty much guiltless! I eat them before or after a workout or pack one in my purse when I know I won't be able to eat all day.

Finally--someone (specifically, MDs) designed a protein bar that actually meets specific nutritional and dietary needs. It's higher in protein than other protein bars but contains fewer calories and no added sugars--plus it tastes like real food and is absolutely delicious. My favorite is their double chocolate. (Their blueberry pie version tastes like blueberries but doesn't actually have any in it, so take that as an FYI.)

I’d say better than most. It does not have that “protein bar undertaste” issue so common to these bars, and the texture is good - nice and fudgy. But it does have a “milky” undertaste which I’m not all that crazy about. Still, the protein content is high and sugar is low, and it has only 4 WW points, so it is a keeper. Gatorade makes a delicious chocolate protein bar, but it has over 300 calories, sadly.

Loved that the Mylar cover & ice on the bottom of the David bars box helped keep the bars cool when I got them off my porch after delivery. And I love the 28 grams of protein w/only 150 calories per bar. The choc brownie flavor is tasty as well. Enjoy them immensely.

If they are Weight Watchers the large bar is total of 4 WW points. I usually only eat 1/2 at a time. And that is 14 grams protein Very good as far as I am concerned and easy to eat. They are a bit expensive but at 1/2 at a time they last a long time. My fav is the Chocolate!.

Did not particularly like the texture of them. Very sticky and difficult to hold. Taste was OK but not great. Protein amount was very good though. Very expensive I will not be re-ordering.

So far the double fudge brownie is my favorite flavor, I have to try the rest of them to make up my mind for sure. But I am very disappointed how every time I receive David’s protein bars there’s complete disregard and disrespect for the delivery, which is why I only gave 4 stars. I would’ve given just 1 star if I didn’t love the flavor so much. The last few times the boxes were delivered, they were crushed, damaged and the bars were melted, even the blueberry ones which seem to be difficult to melt because there’s no chocolate in those, even those were melted and stuck to the inside of the wrapper. And yes, I ate them because I love the flavor, but the experience was not as pleasant as I would’ve liked it to be. Today I received my double fudge brownie protein bars, and the person who delivered it, instead of putting it outside the front door like every other intelligent human being that brings deliveries to this house, left the box in the driveway next to the cars where it could be exposed to even more sunshine and melt even more than it already was from sitting in their truck in this 95° weather. I really wish I would’ve seen the person who delivered it. I would’ve had a conversation with that person. These are the most expensive protein bars I have ever bought, I think a little bit more thought should be put into the way it’s delivered to people’s homes. And I will keep buying them and complain every time that they are delivered all melted and damaged. The only reason I don’t buy them at my local grocery store where they are an excellent condition is because they don’t have the flavors I like. Please do something about the fact that we are being delivered quality items in extremely bad condition. Rant over.

There’s a heavy after taste which doesnt taste nice. I want to return or replace this but there was no option to do that.
