Are the picks comparable to Fender Medium sized ones?

The size & thickness is the same as a Fender (Medium - 0.028"). If the feel is important, they seem slightly flimsier than a Fender pick, and not as smooth. Keep in mind they are produced as a Beatles' novelty. Pick types are a personal preference...... Like Douglass said; try buying a variety pack if you aren't sure what you will like.

Are these medium gauge?

Various gauges from thin to thick. Some medium.
