This is a good film with some 'strange' performances from Malcolm McDowell
Having seen Alyssa in Charmed, I was interested in some of her other work. This is a good film with some 'strange' performances from Malcolm McDowell, Robert Downey Jr. and Sean Penn. Alyssa always looks good though!

Heart warming
"Pool Girl" is a comedy/drama with a addictive quality. On first viewing it seems uneven and uninteresting, but a balanced and talented cast help you climb inside the characters heads. The film follows a day in the life of pool cleaner Hugo. She has 40 clients - including a mob boss who doesn't want disapointing - and one pair of hands. So she asks her gambling mother and father to help her through the day, but theres still time for unbalanced film directers, a hitch hiker with a shoe fetish, that all important horse race, and a heart warming romance. All in all "Pool Girl" is a cleverly written and enjoyable film.

Disappointed
Don't be misled by the excellent cast. They never manage to lift the film from the uninteresting level. I don't understand why they agreed to do this film. The personalities are superficial and implausible. The only redeeming feature is Alyssa Milano, who in a few sequences manages to show what a great actress she is.

Good cast, weird storyline
Didn't really enjoy the film, though the actors were great. Story was too confusing and the ending was a bit random.
