It is a smooth odourless carrier oil. I use it for face, body and hair. As a carrier oil I apply face cream (which generally sits on the skin) then apply a little carrier oil which as the name suggests "carries" the cream to penetrate into the skin. Best buy for me.

I’ve been using the Naturevibe Botanicals Rose Water Hydrosol for a while now, and it has become the foundation of my skincare regimen. If you are looking for a massive bottle of pure rose water without the "luxury" price tag, this is a good choice. My Application Technique (Maximum Hydration): While this would make an excellent traditional facial toner for removing leftover impurities after cleansing and closing the pores, that is not how I personally use it. Instead, I use it specifically to facilitate occlusive hydration. Immediately after cleansing, I apply a generous amount of this rose water to my face using a cotton pad or my palms. While my skin is still slightly damp, I apply my oil-based moisturiser or facial oil directly on top. I do not allow the rose water to dry first. This technique "traps" the botanical water against the skin; since oil and water don't mix, the oil creates a barrier that, in theory, causes some of the water to cross the skins barrier, boosting its hydration levels rather than evaporating. I’ve noticed my skin looks more dewy since starting this method. Immediate Cooling & Soothing: The sensation of this hydrosol is pleasant. It feels instantly cooling when it hits the skin, which is helpful for my sensitive spots. I’ve found that it consistently helps to soothe and calm red areas, reducing inflammation almost immediately. It is much more effective at settling my skin than plain tap water. What I Like: Purity: The ingredient list is clean. It’s a true hydrosol (steam-distilled), meaning it lacks the "chemical" or alcohol sting often found in drugstore toners. Great Value: The 946ml bottle is huge. Because of the size, I don't feel like I have to be "stingy" with it, which is essential for my damp-skin application method. Natural Scent: It has a very light, earthy rose scent—not a heavy, artificial perfume. It dissipates quickly once the oil is applied. A Quick Tip: Because the bottle is quite large and heavy to handle with wet hands in the bathroom, I recommend decanting a portion into a smaller flip-top or glass bottle for daily use. I also keep the main bulk bottle in a cool, dark place to maintain its freshness. Final Verdict: Whether you want a high-quality toner or a base for your facial oils, this is a winner. This is *a not to be trusted* supplier. I ordered 100% Pure Neem oil. This is NOT what was in the bottle. Despite being labelled 'Pure Neem Oil'. When I opened it, it was pink, watery and smelled of decaying flowers. Neem oil is a yellow-brown colour, smells almost like garlic or onions and is very oily.

This product DOES smell very strongly of argan. If you're not familiar or you're scent-sensitive, pick a more refined argan oil or try something like jojoba or marula oil. It definitely has an old lady perfumey scent, but that's easily mitigated with creamy top notes, vanilla, cocoa butter, shea butter or whatever else. It also fades pretty fast, I have no problems with continuing pungent smells even considering how much eucalyptus I use with it. That said, if you're mixing it into your own handmade products, this works perfectly. I don't have a lot of safe options for moisturizers (soybean oil allergy) so I use this straight from the bottle with eucalyptus and sometimes coconut oil. I LOVE being able to buy pure oils and not worry about my annoyingly common allergens. I LOVE how smooth it applies and how much better my skin looks and feels within days, sometimes hours of applying.

The large size makes it a good value, especially if you use oils regularly. Just keep in mind, like most natural oils, consistency matters and it’s best used as part of a routine rather than expecting instant results.
