Extraordinary Streamer very aggressively priced.
This is our 3rd WiiM device, now joining a Mini and a Pro. The WiiM devices in general box well above their weight, offering a combination of connectivity, audio quality, stability, and functionality which far exceeds anything to be expected from the price point. The Ultra has built upon all that was on offer from the mid-range models and offers an extraordinary range of input and output formats, as well as the ability to stream, in the highest resolutions available from the more sound quality focussed streaming services such as Tidal and Qobuz, amongst many others. Currently, you could almost argue that we're under-utilising it as we've connected it to an external DAC via USB for the highest possible sound quality, but experimenting with the onboard DAC yielded great results which again belie the very low price. From the time of plugging it in, to listening to the streaming services of choice was only a few minutes thanks to the excellent application and intuitive interface. Whether using the app on phone or tablet, or indeed the onboard touchscreen, the unit is extremely responsive and offers nearly immediate action to any input. Personally, I don't use the touchscreen, preferring to operate the unit completely from the app, however the included remote control is quite handy, well lain out, and again, very intuitive to use. The only sidenote worthy of mention is that though the onboard WiFi connectivity is very quick and reliable, for best results at the highest resolutions I do suggest feeding the unit via ethernet for the utmost response and performance. It's very difficult to find fault in the WiiM Ultra at even 2-3X the price and I'd suggest sonically, that it'd be at home in nearly any hifi system.

Exceptional Performance and Value – WIIM Ultra is a Game Changer!
I purchased the WIIM Ultra in November 2024 for my home setup, paired with my Fosi Mono V3 Class D amps and Paradigm 15B speakers as a desk system, streaming music from my computer and the Tidal music service. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I really needed this device, but after just one week of use, I was completely convinced – the sound quality is phenomenal! Sound Quality & Ease of Use: From the moment I powered it up, the WIIM Ultra delivered crystal-clear, detailed sound that took my listening experience to the next level. It’s incredibly easy to set up and integrates seamlessly into my system. The connectivity options are excellent, offering everything I need for high-quality streaming and more. Whether I’m using Tidal, Spotify Connect, or streaming directly from my computer, it just works—and the sound is well-balanced and dynamic across all platforms. Comparison to Other Integrated Amplifiers: What really impressed me was how the WIIM Ultra stacks up against other integrated amplifiers I’ve used. In my living room, I have a high-quality integrated amplifier setup that’s much more expensive, and I was curious to see how the WIIM Ultra would compare. To my surprise, the performance of the WIIM Ultra is shockingly close to that much pricier amp. The sound quality is just as clear and rich, and the overall performance is nearly identical. For the price, the WIIM Ultra punches well above its weight and offers nearly the same level of clarity and detail as amps that cost thousands of dollars. It’s an incredible value for the money! Customer Support & Value: The customer support has also been fantastic. The team is incredibly prompt, helpful, and customer-focused, making the entire experience even better. It’s reassuring to know that you’re dealing with a company that truly puts the customer first. USB Out Connectivity & Future-Proofing: I particularly love the USB out feature. It gives me the option to use external DACs at higher resolutions if I ever decide to upgrade my system, making the WIIM Ultra a great future-proof investment. Streaming & Firmware Updates: The Tidal and Spotify Connect options make streaming super easy and convenient, while the regular firmware updates with new features and stability improvements show that the product will only get better over time. As someone who values long-term reliability, this is a huge plus. Airplay Connectivity: The only thing to be aware of is the lack of Airplay support for now. For my specific setup at my desk, this isn’t an issue, but I’d love to see it added in future iterations. However, it doesn’t detract from the overall fantastic experience I’ve had with the WIIM Ultra. Final Thoughts: Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the WIIM Ultra. The sound quality, build, connectivity, and customer support are all exceptional. If you’re on the fence about it, I can say with confidence that it compares very favorably to much more expensive integrated amplifiers I have in my living room. If you’ve read the glowing reviews elsewhere, I can confirm that my experience mirrors theirs. This is a top-tier product that provides fantastic performance without breaking the bank. I’m already planning to buy another one for future needs, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality audio experience!

Best 424$ you'll ever spend on audio gear. Welcome To Hi Rez Sound done Easily and Conveniently!!
Update: Using AI and Wiim Ultra parametric EQ curves it can create, I am now emulating Focal Bowers Wilson Canton and Magico speakers. If you think outside the box this thing can do wonders. The amp can make it happen with my speakers and math...the point is With the right gear this wiim ultra is limitless in possibilities. I would get a 3rd one but want to see what comes out next from wiim. An audiophile version for800to 1000$ with a more quality build would solidify the brand further into a pro-sumer level. Update: Installed wiim app on my pc and it makes my mp3 collection library castable and wiim appears as an output on my samsung TV. This is a great little box!! I may be giving this 5 stars for reasons very different from others here. I bought 2 WIIM Ultra's and hooked them up to 2 of my 3 home setups. I have 2 setups of Michi RHB10 and RHC10 combos and another Yamaha Ca800 (1974ish) that runs out to a Michi RHB05 amp. The latter is my kitchen setup that ends up being where I listen to most of my music while cooking with my wife. My MAIN REASON FOR BUYING THESE was to finally verify 24 bit 192kb sound was passing through to my sound systems. I initally used an amazon echolink but couldn't be sure if the output was really Hi Rez. It just irked me to not know the front end signal to my high end gear was also of quality. WIIM confirms the resolution into the rest. IS MY SOUND BETTER?? To be brutally honest I can't say it's an incredible leap forward as I was already running a quality DAC on a 16 bit 48 tv output in my kitchen and Echolink is no slouch at 16bit 48kb downsampled at the output rca as per measurements obtained online that verify echolink doesn't stream bit perfect at the output. My sound was still very clean into class A amp's and pre-amps. WHAT WOW's ME in this box is the app. Amazon music runs weird on my bluestacks emulator and phone but through the WIIM app it's much much better. I love seeing the artwork on the face. It has access to internet radio through some of the apps that need no sign-up. The room correction in my library setup rounded out the mids on my system. In my kitchen it made my sound harsh and nasal but it's a big room. I would say the room correction could be beneficial with the right measure mic. I turn it on and off as the purist sometimes gets the upper hand but I will say I see how it could help from the tests I did. Value right there. Once you get used to the limitless possibilities of configuring this as a hub it's value goes beyond streaming and into convenience. For example I can cast my stingray music app to it or stream amazon music . That right there can't be done by any other piece of gear I own. Another great feature is that I can stream to 2 stations at the same time in perfect sync. Echolink would do this but it was useless as i couldnt get that google like sync through my firesticks and firecubes . Impossible to sync. THE BUILT IN EQ...is usually a feature i stay away from . Digital EQ is usually a soul sucking frequence robbing nuisance that kills your sound at other frequencies . This EQ I am happy to report is very useable. I tried the Classical EQ setting to listen to the Nutcracker in UHD and it was really nice. I tweaked the ROCK eq and created a preset of my own. I can't believe I'm praising an onboard eq. For my old Yamaha it can add girth and kick in the low end but the Dac already does a great job. THE SOUND!! It has the same single Dac chip as my cambridge Audio DM200. As you see in the pics I'm running USB out to the DM200 on my bigger Michi. It comes out a little cold but I run the signal through an ART EQ and tweak Bass at 68Hz , 250Hz and a bit of air at 16KHz so not an eq snob. I turned off my eq to try room correction. On this setup room correction was a bit effective off my very old galaxy s9 phone. It rounded out my mids and made the highs a tad less sharp but honestly it did well. On older content it is actually helpful. newer content has great Bass and low mids so not as much benefit. Having done a lot of listening on that Yamaha kitchen setup I can say that everything comes out clearly and precisely. On classical I could hear every section and instrument clearly. It performed a lot like my DacMagic to be honest . I have to say these Michi amps also have great speaker damping so your bass never chuffs and represents audio better through power handling of my drivers. Those stereo amps also give me great RL isolation and no crosstalk. The WIIM also gives me a volume control on the front end of the Yamaha. Luxury for me. It also doesn't suck the life out of your sound at low volume so well done there as well. I'm not running any high end speakers to be clear. Box store Klipsch r820f in the kitchen and Polk RTIA9's in my big michi setups. These amps deliver but that's not the point. I just wanted to mention that the dac delivers a quality signal that gives you setup a chance to be at it's best. Those amps make box store speakers really shine through control. They take a run of the mill speaker and make it perform at peak capability. AS a PREAMP??? I wouldn't recommend going straight to power amps as a pre. My good friend has 2 eversolo 8 and an eversolo 6 that we hooked directly to new series michi and Krell mono blocks as well as MacIntosh . I got to try many streamers and the dac magic as a pre-amp and I wouldn't recommend this. All units mentionned didn't seem to have the push necessary even if the stated output signal voltage seems ample enough to drive an amp. The seem lifeless without a proper preamp. They also seem low in volume direct to an amp. Dac's and streamers do provide a quality signal if you're a music addict. My last setup runs from a laptop into a DM200 bit perfectly and was my only verifible bit rate perfect listening spot. Now I can confirm that at every station for 424$ a station. My dac was 800$ retail. This streamer is nothing but value. I'm a cheapskate audiophile that has friends with better gear and I can say I'm happy with my setup . Do their systems sound 20K better than mine? No and they would tell you that themselves. This box is an incredibly versatile respectable piece of audio gear done by people who have an interest in obtaining a market share with such products. I just regret having bought my echolink versus the then unknown WIIM streamer but I am glad that this is my first WIIM product. Get this ! It's stupid good for no money.

Rapport qualité-prix imbattable
Qualité de réception remarquable. Facilité de connexion (réseau LAN dans mon cas). Recherche des stations radio sur internet un peu laborieuse, mais enregistrement des dites stations sans faille, même après une coupure de courant. Télécommande efficace et bien pratique. Conclusion : rapport qualité-prix imbattable !
