Wow … seriously impressed with this hair dryer. I was skeptical, because few reviews had anything bad to say about it which I found odd. But they were all spot on! This hair dryer is much lighter than my current hair dryer (15 oz versus 22 oz). The diffuser adds 5.2 oz while the concentrator adds less than 2 oz. to the overall weight. While some reviews commented they were changing the heat setting, this was not a problem for me. I hold the dryer closer to the base of the handle and it is a non-issue. Pros: Magnetic attachments – I am so tired of dealing with attachments that fall off in the middle of drying my hair. Fast Drying – I didn’t time it, but I know without a doubt it dried my hair much faster than my current unit. Non-kink cord - this cord doesn’t easily tangle and is very well constructed. The added bonus is the nice cord tie. Noise - as you can see from the video there is a very distinct difference in the noise produced from a traditional hair dryer and this unit. I tested the decibel reading and it came in at 7-8 decibels lower than the traditional dryer I tested. Weight – weighing in at 7 ounces lighter than my current hair dryer makes all of the difference in the word. Price – I am a bargain shopper; I found this dryer priced at $40 to be a bargain and worth every penny. Easy-access filter for cleaning - easy to slide the protective cover to clean the filter with a brush (instructions explicitly say do not user water but rather a dry cloth or soft brush). Heat Setting Indicator – it is very easy to visually see which heat setting you have selected as there is a ring on the back that illuminates green for cool, orange for warm, or red for hot. Cons: I honestly cannot think of any. However, I did just get this unit and will update my review if that changes over time and usage. I would definitely recommend this unit not just for travel, but for every day use.

I love my new blow dryer! Well made, sturdy and efficient. My only complaint is that the heat setting button (a push button) is very easy to press accidentally while holding the handle. Otherwise, great product.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The 160000 RPM Portable Hair Dryer is beyond expectations. First it came nicely packaged in a hard cardboard box, which meant no damage. Once I opened the box the contents were also packaged with care. You can see that the handle has a velm type covering on it, as did the rest. Each piece was individually wrapped. Once I turned it on I was blown away as to how quiet it is in comparison to my other two blow driers. Those will soon be gone! Now for function! It has an easy to reach filter for dust and debris, the green light is cool, orange is warm and red is hot. I have thin hair so being able to change settings as needed is fantastic. I started with warm and finished off with the cool setting to set my hair. It is also possible to vary the speed (how hard it blows) while on with a simple touch of a button. Finally is it super compact? No, BUT in comparison to my two older drivers YES! Easier to pack. I only wish I would have bought it sooner.

THE GOOD: I will say right upfront that you may very well love this hairdryer for its build quality, ENORMOUS power, and chic design. It really is a thing of beauty and, yes, it is rather quiet and has a clever air filter feature that is very impressive. THE DISAPPOINTING: It claims to have 3 speeds. It does not (unless you count OFF as a speed). It has 2 speeds: 1): More air speed than most would need, and 2): Ridiculous amount of air speed. One attachment actually funnels the air to even MORE speed, which I cannot imagine a use for other than perhaps lawn maintenance. The defuser, while beautiful to look at and that cleverly attaches with its magnetic mounting system, is virtually unusable as in this case it does not let enough air to flow through in a meaningful way. I simply do not understand why there is not a more reasonable (lower) blower speed selection for this hairdryer. In summary: If you just want something for a super fast 'blow & go' to get out the door fast, this is your hairdryer. If you want the opportunity to have some say over how your hair is styled in the process of drying, and not just blown straight like your leaning forward in a wind-tunnel, or driving down the freeway at 90 MPH on hot summer day with your head out the window like a Golden Retriever, you might want to look elsewhere. I will revise this review if they can offer a defuser that will tame the air speed of this hairdryer in a meaningful way.
