TobenONE 18-in-2 MacBook Docking Station Dual Monitor 4K@60Hz, 150W Adapter

I’ve been using the TobenOne UDS040M docking station with my 2018 MacBook Pro and two Samsung U28E590 monitors for a week now and I couldn’t be happier! This is my second TobenOne dock, and I was already impressed with my previous one, but the UDS040M takes things to another level.My absolute favourite feature is the vertical laptop stand, which frees up much-needed space on my small desk. I can’t overstate how much I love this space-saving innovation. I really didn't realise how much I needed this! My desk is far less cluttered and the design neatly hides all the cables when the laptop is in place. I didn’t expect this to make such a difference, but now having it, I wouldn’t go back.The dual-monitor support works flawlessly with my Samsung U28E590 displays, and I’ve noticed that my screens wake from sleep faster compared to my previous dock. It’s a small but noticeable improvement that makes everyday use feel smoother. The 150W power adapter charges my MacBook while keeping multiple devices connected without any low-power warnings, which occasionally happened with my previous dock.With 18 ports, including USB-C and USB-A, a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, and SD card slots, this dock easily handles everything I need. Transferring files to my NAS drive is quick, and the convenience of two headphone/microphone jacks mean I can plug in my old Apple headset when I need it without having to muck around at the back unplugging my desk top speaker first. The dual USB-C cable connection keeps things stable, and setup was simple—just plug and go.One thing to note: you need a Cat6 Ethernet cable (or higher) for wired internet. My existing Cat5e cable didn’t work at all. Once I switched, everything ran perfectly.Beyond aesthetics, the vertical stand improves airflow, and I’ve noticed my MacBook’s fans kick in less often, which is a nice bonus. It’s rare to find a docking station that’s both well-designed and highly functional, but this one delivers.Overall, the UDS040M is a fantastic addition to my setup, and I’d recommend it to everyone. Five stars isn’t enough—this is a masterpiece!

BEST TobenOne dock hands down. Over the course of the past year or so, I've tried upwards of ten docking stations for my Macbook Pro M3 Pro. My most recent purchase easily takes the lead as my favorite one to date. Like most docks from TobenOne, the UDS040M is an extremely versatile docking station designed for MacBook users specifically, and offers an incredibly wide range of connectivity options. Its standout features (for me) include support for dual 4K monitors via HDMI and DisplayPort, a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, and plenty of USB ports for all of my devices. What's even better is that the dock is truly “plug and play,” and doesn't require any DisplayLink drivers like some others did in the past, which greatly simplifies the setup.Quite possibly my favorite part about it is that it also doubles as a stand for your laptop, so you can plug it in, drop it on the stand, and have tons of desk space available for other things. It's super compact and incredibly lightweight as well --- I don't know how they pack all of these features into a device of this size. Super cool!If you’re considering an all-in-one docking solution, the TobenOne UDS040M is most certainly worth exploring!

With three available display connections (2XHDMI and 1X Display Port) it has the power to enhance your gaming experience or just expand your work-from-home experience.It works very well with my 2019 MacBook Pro (i9) in both iOS and Windows configuration and also with my 2023 MacBook Air M2. Oddly enough it also can be used to show the screen of my iPad or iPhone 15 Pro with the USB-C connection. Fun for showing photo's or quickly connecting to help a colleague see what is on the phone or tablet. I am confident it would also work with any other USB-C device as well.Unlike the TobenONE quad dock, this does not use software to emulate the screens.. which limits you to 1 external monitor for a MacBook Air with the M2 chipset. I also like the headphone jack in the front.. great way to use all those outdated Apple headsets that sit around in my desk and year to be used again.The customer support from this team is also phenomenal, and any time I have had to shoot them an email, I get a quick and friendly reply.I love the convenience of charging my phone or resting my tablet in the front cradle.. and it is also a great feature to store the laptop and clean up the desk at night.Overall.. no complaints. I will continue to use and purchase TobenONE products and recommend them to my friends and family.

I usually don’t like writing reviews but I am taking a moment to write one now. I made it a point because I ran into an issue with the unit I ordered off amazon with some of the ports not working and constant monitor flickering from the HDMI1 port. I use this with my M4 MacBook Pro for a two monitor setup with the MacBook closed. Unfortunately I contacted Amazon for a return because i understand that when mass producing units, there is always a chance you can get a faulty unit. Unfortunately it was after the return period. I immediately contacted TobenONE per amazons instructions. The stand and connections really did work nicely for my MacBK Pro and two monitor. Solid place to set the MacBK and connect all the devices I needed. Have really enjoyed using this since mid July when I noted some network issues. I have been using it for the wired network capability but noted that it was no longer passing data either way. To verify testing I pulled out a small C-usb adapter with network capability and it worked perfectly.ToBenONE did provide good support, a good Warranty for this product and was quick to respond with help and quick refund. I look forward to seeing what upgrades they can make with future versions.

I was looking for an inexpensive way to minimize usb dongles, have more ports for my macbook, add an ethernet port to my setup (now that we have fiber internet and NAS storage), and clean my workspace up with a beautiful and minimal laptop dock. This was everything I was searching for, especially the additional ports to enhance my workflow capabilities. While there isnt any onboard ability to add SSD storage, haveing the additional SD card slot and Micro SD card slot allows me to unload media from my Fujifilm GFX100s camera (which uses dual SD Cards) at the same time; instead of only 1 SD card at time. I have this device charging my ipad pro (USB C on the 20w charges really fast!), export audio to a speaker via 3.5 audio jack, I have two SSD external drives running, its plugged into fiber ethernet port, and using 2 monitors via HDMI and USB C to 4K ASUS Proart monitors. I dont notice any heat issues with all ports being used simultaneously, which is nice. The only reason I am giving this a 3 star is that the HDMI port drops signal often and its super frustrating because the only fix is to turn my monitor off and back on again (about 20-25 seconds til signal is restored). Tried changing the HMDI cord and then changing output monitors and it came down to the port on this device.

Super impressive!! I have a Macbook Pro with 2 external monitors, external HD desktop camera, and mouse. This was super easy to set up (I'm not sure why they even included instructions). No drivers needed to install. Just plug it in, and it works. That's what happens when you design something for Macs. Space saving, sleek looking. I also like that it is powered with an on/off switch. Lots of ports. Used the ones in the back for all my devices.. and they also have ports in the front for USB-A (1) , USB-C (2) and SD/Micro SD cards.. so if I need to plug anything else in I don't have to move/adjust the laptop.. just plug right in front of the dock. Well worth the cost (which is not bad to begin with).Update:8 months later had an issue where it was interfering with my WiFi connection. I contacted customer support and they replied quickly. They were unable to identify the issue and without hesitation they sent me a new dock. (Which works perfectly).Sometimes a company is not truly tested until an issue arises… and they passed the test with flying colors!!!

This is a quality docking station for my Macbook Air M4. It's small, looks good and functions well. Not many have a high speed SD card reader like this one. The USB C and audio jack could use some improvements for my personal use. I use the headphone jack, but would prefer that it be located on the back side for better cable management. Wish it had more than one USB C port. Also wish it was located at the back of the dock to keep cables organized. Otherwise, it performs well. I also want to mention that ths sell has great customer service and is very responsive with issues and questions.
